I created a 4-in-1 tire hose inflation system.....think "morrflate" but just something I threw together on my own. At the end of the hoses, I have some lock-on air chucks, where you put it on the stem, slide a sleeve and it locks onto the stem. This worked great when I had my 33" stock tires.

I have since upgraded to the 35" tire package and the stems are tucked into the cosmetic ring. The lock-on chucks work, but they are difficult to lock and unlock due to the recessed stem. You can pretty much just get a quarter of grasp on the chuck vs a firm grasp. One fix is to use stem extensions, but it's hard to find a quality extension. Plus it's more work to screw the extension on and then the chuck.

Has anybody seen extended lock on air chucks that work better with somewhat recessed stems? I found one off amazon but I'm not sure it will fit with the ring.

I have the OEM XR wheels with the fake beadlock ring and the Morrflate locking collar air chucks work for me even with valve stems a little shorter than factory. If you’re talking about an aftermarket wheel maybe post a pic showing what you mean.

I have the same wheel. It looks like those may do the trick. How much of that chuck can you grab to unlock on the XR wheels?

The ones I have now are identical to the morrflate ones, but the collar looks like it may not be that big. Even morrflate did a little pic below on your link that compared mine to theirs.

Thank you so much for the pictures. I'm honestly really surprised that they didn't design the collars to sit further out. I'll have to take a picture of my Haltec's but honestly, it looks like they are almost the same. Maybe these are easier to pop the collar off than the Haltec's?

The problem I'm having is that I can only get two fingers and a tip of a thumb on the collar. And those haltec's are hard to move the collar once locked. On yours, it looks like it would be the same situation. I'm afraid that I'm going to pop a stem off or have to resort to channel locks when it gets colder.

Ok so disclaimer, WD-40 attracts dirt. But I hose those collars down with WD-40 while sliding them back and forth to flush out any grit after each use and cover them with the Morrflate covers. The collars move very easily when locking and unlocking. I tried a couple of different dry lubes but I think the WD-40 flushes out any grit. It’s a hassle but worth it the next time you use them. It’s worth a try before spending more money.

I use these LockNFlates due to some space constraints with my beadlock rings. They are not cheap but the work well, do not pop off, or leak.

They are about $10 cheaper per chuck on Amazon vs the same ones on Morrflates website.

Yup, I know that's part of my problem. We have a lot of sand up here and I can hear it in the chuck. I agree with your WD-40 and oil and dirt.... I've tried Silicone Spray and while it made them easier to slide, it's still not 100%. I know there's also two other types of dry lubricant...maybe I'll try one of those.

Using the Speedflate 2x system. Probably the same air chuck, but I'm able to connect/disconnect without much fuss.

Getting this same rig into a Ranger Raptor beadlock trim ring IS somewhat difficult.
Thank you! It looks the similiar but maybe even harder. It looks like the grippies are at the end of the chuck where it attaches to the stem. I would imagine this would make it even more difficult with recessed stems.

I was thinking about these but man are they pricey. That would be $200 just on the tire chucks themselves. I was cringing on spending $15 for the haltec's but they really did work well. I do have something like the lock n flate for my grease gun on zerks and it really does work great, so I'm a bit familar with the product.

I also saw a couple of cheaper options on amazon too but I don't know how well they work. The 'mifmia' locking air chuck looks like it would work and is $15. There's also a few brands that have a single clip, but in my experience, they pop off. I think I saw another cheaper one as well that I was tempted with but I can't find it now.

I know, buy once cry once... I love the chucks, but I'm wondering if $10 extensions are they way to go vs replacing them for $200.

Split your 4 tire system down to a 2 tire system, with hose lengths custom to your needs. You'll be happier when you uncoil and coil it all back into a bag and probably end up with no change in filling time and save $$$ on the two extra Lock-N-Flate chucks.

Sounds like the picture is deceptive. I can quickly connect and disconnect onto my Xtreme wheels. No drama here.

I have one of the single tooth locking chucks on a garage air hose. It doesn’t pop off but it leaks 75% of the time and needs to be constantly repositioned.
