I don’t see why you couldn’t. Passenger side freedom panel has 4 latches to keep it in place. I also don’t see why you would want to do that but that’s JMO.

No reason you can’t. But I got tired of doing that all the time so we got the Sunrider for the hardtop. Now it’s 10 seconds (or less) to open or close.

Gloria, as the old saying goes, "Whatever trips your trigger". If you want to drive your baby that way, have a ball. I've never thought about doing it that way, but now I see myself pulling that one top if I'm on a short drive to shorten the "Honey-Do" list. I can stick that one side on quickly, and head inside the store. Thanks for putting that idea in my old mind.

Is yours the black twill or diamond? I keep hearing the twill is the way to go. I'm on the fence whether to get it.

That’s the twill... very nice material. Haven’t seen the diamond so I can’t comment on the difference.

If you’re on the fence I strongly encourage you to get it. We love it... especially when we’re on vacation and there’s no room to store the freedom panels.

Well twist my rubber arm, might be my next purchase. I'm ok with the storing, I just find the ease of opening the bestop to be a big draw for me. When you have it open does it lock in place or does it bounce around at all?

No lock and it stays in place when open. From off-roading to 70 mph the top is fine. It comes with velcro straps to secure open but I’ve never used it.

If I could only make one upgrade this would be it.

I was concerned about this as well but ordered in March anyway. It does eat up a bit of the usual opening but it is behind ur field of vision so u won’t even notice. Like others, I love this mod also. So easy to get topless!! No regrets.
