Not looking for a reason why. In this day and age and for the money we spend, it should not be an issue. I have a 2006 Scion XB that never had this issue so it is a quality problem. That is all.
*update* Now the rubber button is deteriorating as well. I am well out of warranty but I guess Jeep pulled a fast one on us with lowest cost parts on our high cost Jeeps.
They said they fixed it but a couple weeks later it started again. 999999 miles on the odometer and a glitching stereo unit and backup cam. Now I am out of warranty, though.
I started getting "Service Electronic Throttle Control" at startup, stereo locking up and doing weird resets, no reading on my odometer, and 999999 on my odometer off and on. I hope a software flash will fix it.
I got Death Wobble for the first time twice the next day AFTER they put the new part on. Turns out that they did not properly adjust air on the tires nor properly torque the new dampener. Once they did I rode with the tech and hit every bump I could and ran off the edge of the road and could not...
Sadly, the trail ride course was cancelled last year but we did ride out to Cade's Cove. It was great except for the idiots blasting their music during the ride and scaring off the wildlife.
I have a 2018 JLU Sahara with 24k miles on it. Three times now in the last several weeks I have heard a popping sound, like a rivet popping, when beginning to accelerate from a stop. The first two times it came from the driver's side behind me, at the chest to waist level. The most recent time...
What it amounts to is those of you that can comfortably spend $80 please do so that way those of us who can't comfortably spend $80 may benefit by the economy of scale/supply/demand in the future and pay a lower price. :-) It is nice and undoubtedly effective but I can't see dropping $80 for a...
It's a free country and you can say what you want but that doesn't preclude you from being called out for saying something in poor taste. That last bit you probably meant to be funny but I, and I am sure others, find it in poor form. Jeepers in general are a tight knit community and two of our...
As of 2010, US law requires you to pull up on a rocker switch to close a window. Here is an article on it. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnet.com/google-amp/news/why-car-power-windows-work-differently/
I will have had my JL for a year in two weeks and just over 18k miles. My "AUTO" label just rubbed off the drivers side window switch and is starting to come off the passenger side. That makes me wonder about the rest of the dash. I never have chemicals on my hands so I know it is a...
