For some reason FCA didn't think the back side of the tail lights deserves a solid cover. I have my old fender liners I am going to cut and fit in there, just wondering if anyone has a fastening idea before I use a tube of RTV or epoxy to affix it......

The JK series was the same way only FCA tucked in a little piece of foam to pretend to cover the hole. If this spot is closed tight it can trap water. Besides everything inside that cavity is made to water resistant standards.

There may have been a piece of foam in there, I can't remember.

I wouldn't make it water tight, just trying to stop some of the spray going directly onto the LEDs.

This was designed by engineers with having that in mind. I saw this when I replaced my halogens to LED bulbs. I wouldn’t do anything.
