this would probably get moved, but I didn’t know what forum to put it under
Where is the easiest and best penetration to run several wires through the driver side firewall?
I’m hooking up some off-road lights that have a high beam low beam and I’m going to use a old school floor switch which most of you born after 1980 won’t even know what that ( unless you’ve driven old school trucks and cars that had the pedal button and I’m not even sure when they quit making those) is for the high beam low beam connection. I’m looking to find an easy place to come through the firewall with a. three wire and lug bundle and please if you have it post some pictures

Another option is to run the wires under the little cowl by the A pillar, then behind the weather strip of the driver's door, then down. I did this for a GMRS antenna cable. Works fine.

Put fuses on these wires in case the insulation wears down. Saved me one day on a previous vehicle with some amp power lines running under the carpet next to the door.

That will work. just fine. but. now I find that, I will also need a way to get through onto passenger side for a remote relay switch that will control a bright setting on one of my sets of lights I am adding. Or conversely a way to bring the wire through the driver's side and end up on the passenger side, without having to totally redo the dash.

Its pretty easy to pass wires across the front below the dash. Forward of the center console you can slip a piece of coat hanger wire through over the top of the transmission hump and use it to pull your wires across.
As @bd100 indicated, fuses at the power source are prudent.

True. Just be sure the wires don't rest on the heater core/lines.

There's an unused passenger firewall grommet/nipple below the battery box and above the PCR (where applicable), but it's not very accessible without removing stuff above it, or possibly more easily from below it.

I had to run some wiring and don't have that grommet on the driver side so I dropped the windshield and ran the cables down the a pillar and underneath. I remember having to remove some of the trim on the pillar as well as the dash speaker to get access.
