Hey,
Has anyone had the issue where the side window of your soft top comes loose from the arrow like thing that holds it on? I bought a used Jeep 2021 and this has been happening. I am currently trying to see if the sun is hot enough and by clamping the part where is slides into will tighten to help.
No, I cannot afford another top, so that is out of the question. It does look like the loose one is different than the otherside which is tighter and not coming loose.
Thanks for any input.
Now Jeep 2021 not 2018 incase you see my user name. Never had these issues with the 2018, it was a great Jeep, never should have listened to my husband and sold it. This one has been trouble since the day I drove it off the lot.
UGH!

It sounds like the driver-side window retention channel (integrated in the top portion of the soft top) has widened just to the point that it won't properly retain the corresponding piece that's on the top of the side window panel.

If that's correct, and hoping for a DIY fix, I might start by heating and pressing the aforementioned channel with a hair dryer or a heat gun, hoping that it takes a set as it cools. Be very careful if using a heat gun! Start with a hair dryer and a series of clips that are strong enough to hold the channel closed after it's heated, in order to encourage it to be tighter after the plastic cools.
