EVO oil pan and trans skid. had mine for 5 years of abuse so far and its in perfect conditionGuys, metal cloak makes this one but only for the tj, when I called them they said that for JK and JL I have to get the whole thing. But I don't want the whole thing, I just want to protect the oil pan because I want to put on a Fumoto.
Can you please recommend another oil pan skid plate that will work with JL?
Thank you!

A "plate with two rods" probably won't end well if you actually hit something with any amount of force. That will be very expensive. I think I'm going to my local custom welding, he's an elderly gentleman and the coolest, he'll put together something for me, like just a plate with two rods![]()
If you don't do any of those, there's no need for a skid.I don't do rock crawling and hardcore wheeling. I just need something to proect the stupid Fumoto valve, it is super fragile.
Another vote for the ASFIR - very beefy and good Bang for the $
I've the Fumoto on my Jeep. I purchased a snug-fitting vacuum cap for <$1 in the hardware section at Ace Hardware for placement on the valve's nipple. The cap has stayed in place for many thousands of miles now. Just a suggestion.Wish there was a little metallic and magnetic cap like that that would go over the Fumoto

Hey thank you so much, that vacuum cap sounds like a great ideaGlad to read that at least a few owners had a good experience with Asfir. The skid plate they sent me didn't fit, despite both sides saying the correct vehicle info was provided. The return process was an absolute crapshow. They went radio silent until I initiated and prevailed in a credit card chargeback request. Funny how that works.

No worries. Have a look the next time you're in the store.Hey thank you so much, that vacuum cap sounds like a great idea![]()
I had one on my Sahara 2.0 build. I’ll likely get another for the 3.6 Rubicon we have. They did nice work on it. A little messy on the oil changes though. I’ll likely put waterweld epoxy on the top side to steer oil to the drain cutout again.
