Oil change prices in canada

Hey everyone , just about too take our 21 wrangler high altitude with the 3.6 in for an oil change tomorrow along with having yet another issue looked at. Was curious of what everyone else is paying for oil changes in canada maybe more specifically in ontario at the dealer. The last service I thought was absolutely ridiculous at $180 for an oil change with 5 litres of 0w20 . Just for a heads up the absolute only reason it's going to the dealer is there has been a laundry list of issues with this thing including an engine replacement. So I'm just trying to cover my bases from a warranty stand point. Maybe $180 is fair ????? Let me know what you think......

i just bought two 5 qt jugs of PUP for $27 a jug and today I received my $25 rebate from pennzoil for buying two jugs so my next two oil changes will cost me about $24.50 apiece...14.50 for the oil and $10 for the filters. Canada might be different but I have never once had an issue with warranty and doing my own oil changes.

$26.97 for 5 QT 5W-30

Thanks for the info, I'd normally not be too concerned with the warranty but with 30,000 km on this thing and had 3 major issues under warranty(cams,heads and cams,and complete engine replacement)I don't want too give then any reason too deny a claim.

After looking quickly I can buy a Mopar filter and 5l of 0w20 for $60 here in Canada. There's going to be a lengthy discussion with the dealer tomorrow about specific requirements of diy services to avoid any issues. Unfortunately looks like the rads leaking at the moment aswell so just another issue too add to the list .

Ya pretty much the same price here at the dealer according to friend. Will be doing my first stop over there next winter, just like you, I make periodic trip to the dealer to cover my base.

The last oil filter / multi point inspection service for my 2.0L Sahara at the local CJDR dealer in January was $135.00 CAD inc. tax.

Just spoke to a local lube shop said it'd be 89.99 plus tax that's a far cry from $160 and change out the door at the dealer .

Arizona 3.6 oil change runs about $110. Less if you bring your own filter. WIX at Rock Auto runs $5-8 depending on grade. Note: You can record your own service events in the Jeep App.

I understand about warranty fear. I do my own oil changes - the Fumoto makes it fun - and keep all the oil in the used containers - dated and the receipts on file. If they don't honor the warranty needed for major repair for whatever reason I'm just going to finance a 426 Hemi conversion. Screw 'em.

Honestly who knows..... but I can say this . Every single time it's been to the dealer for significant work it's been returned a minimum of 3 times with related issues.

Around here I have 3 dealers, 1 would break something each time it touch the jeep, a other one try to make me pay for recall work and the last one I did not try yet.
