Anyone besides me going to be pulling an off road trailer (think VMI, Turtleback, AT, etc...)? I've got a Borderland that should be finished about the same time the JL gets here (when it rains, it pours...lol)! Post up pics of your setups!

Nice looking trailer RonH! Congrats on it, and the new Jeep! :D

I will be getting one. I actually decided against getting a Rubicon, so I can put the savings towards an off-road camping trailer.

I wish I had the free time to build my own trailer, but honestly it would probably wind up one of those half finished projects sitting in my garage. So, I'm considering the Runaway Venturist (4x8x4 $6995) or the WeeRoll Overland (5x10x5 $6295). I'm leaning slightly more towards the Overland, as it's bigger, cheaper and made from aluminum. The fact they both have large cargo doors on the rear, means I was able to convince the Wife they could also be used to haul furniture etc. Both companies are within are in state, so I can pick the trailer up and save on shipping costs.

Yeah, after I pick up my Rubicon, I'm building an off road trailer to drag across the Continental Divide route, then the Trans American Trail.

I wish my Borderland was in state! Gonna have to go up to Utah to get it, but that'll just give me an excuse to swing through Colorado for a couple of days on a shakedown cruise!

I’ve been eyeballing Cargo Craft’s “off road” line for a bit. They make a few custom rigs depending on personal needs. I’m pretty much settled on my “Tramper” (trailer-camper) decision....Best of both worlds for my needs since I can have it customized with tons of features. Coloradotrailers.com is a dealer but any Cargo Craft dealer should be able to order.

I am currently looking for a small rugged camper. It would be nice to hit a trail all day and come back to something a bit more sturdy than a tent!

The build is ongoing. Shop is waiting on the Timbren axel-less suspension and Foxwing. Should be done soon!

You can get in 5’, 6’ or 7’ by 10’, 12’, 14’, 16’ and 17’ if memory serves. Single or tandem axle.

Quick question: will the JL Rubicon tow package use a 2" receiver, or 1.25"? I'm assuming 2" but never asked that question when ordering
