Normal coolant temperatures?

What is a high temp for the 2.0? Mine has been fluctuating between 190 and 221 in stop and go traffic. Also, what is the optimum oil temp?

That is about the normal for the 2.0. Oil will just about mirror the coolant temps sometimes slightly lower. The fan doesn't really kick on until 225 unless the AC is running in which the fan usually runs at a low speed the whole time assisting in the cooling process

Check the coolant level when the engine is cool. It is the black reservoir near the firewall on driver's side. Sounds to me like your coolant is low.
