Last week I decided to check the coolant level on my jl willys 2.0 which is less then a year old with 17000 miles. When checked there was nothing on the dipstick for coolant tank. Yes the 2.0 have a dipstick since the tank is black not clear like the 3.6. When I checked inside, the level was well below min mark. I refilled it to the max mark and it took a litre of coolant to reach that level. Couple of days later I checked the level again, it was at the min mark. I decided to take it to the dealer to see if there was a leak anywhere in the system. The vehicle has never overheated and the temp stays around 192-220. When I picked up the jeep they said that they couldn't find any leaks and its holding pressure. So how does a vehicle lose about 1 litre of coolant. Or maybe the factory or the dealer never filled it to the correct level.
