Coolant temperature sensor

I have a 2019 unlimited sport 2.0 L 4wd. My coolant temp fluctuates wildly on dashboard guage. Thinking it’s a sensor. Hoping to resolve this before taking to a shop for repair. Jeep has 80k miles and runs great. I have this part but can’t find any literature on where it is located in the engine. (This is the non threaded sensor). Pic attached.
Any help or direction is appreciated.

*will try this one first and then I believe there is another threaded sensor I can replace if this one doesn’t resolve the issue.

Have you checked for leaks, low coolant, air in the system, and the bolts backing out on one of the elbows to the block?

All common issues.
