I have a 2020 JL 2L turbo, dual sync climate control. I been having a issue with the control and regulation of temperature on the passenger side. When I adjust the passenger side heat for example 72 degrees it'll just blow outside cold air, it won't regulate. It won't make fine incremental temp adjustments, this is only happening on the passenger side. Drivers side is working great. Brought it into the dealership this week and they did the diagnosis, blend door actuators passed the test, there was a software update for my year JL and they flashed the update but didn't fix resolve the issue. Took it back last week and they said the cabin temp sensor on the passenger side is at fault. Booked the appt for replacement for this morning and when I left it with them the shop manager called me to say his parts guy ordered the wrong part and will take another 2 days to get it. I don't want to go back and waste my work day and the afternoon sitting at the dealership. I want to get the part when it comes in and replace it myself. What the chances any member's here have access to mechanical diy data like all data for the location replacement for the cabin temp sensor on the passenger side. Dealership said it's listed as half an hour shop rate time to change. It must be relatively easy straightforward I'm thinking. Appreciate any feedback to my post.

Do you have a part number? I'm only seeing the one sensor.

As far as I can tell, there is only one sensor and that's it. I'll shoot you the testing and install instructions. If they're gonna charge you $100 for it, I'd take the 5 minutes to test it out.

This also could be a problem with a mixing flap in the ducting……a known issue

Update for my issue. Turned out that the dealers description for the part that was at fault was wrong. The service advisor stated in troubleshooting/diagnosis the cabin temp sensor was the culprit. Instead the problem was a faulty air conditioning probe sensor. There's 4 of these on our climate control system. One on the passenger side and other one on the drivers and two in the upper center around and behind the radio. These are approx 8-10 dollar sensors going at this link below. My passenger side probe sensor had failed and had it changed in 15 minutes and bingo the heat temperature can be adjusted accurately again.

In the illustration diagram it's part labeled 4.

Here it is at the Mopar site...

Did you replace it through the passenger front vent? How did you remove the vent?

Yes, how hard was this to get to? The passenger side on our 2020 has a hard time getting the temp right

Just had mine done under extended warranty and dealership said they removed the vent somehow. Hmm.

No need to remove the vent. Remove the glovebox on the top side of the plastic climate control housing these probes live in a friction fitted opening. Can be pulled out with needle nose pliers. Did mine in 10 minutes.
