There is a guy who has a niche jeep business that services NYC. His guys will come to your house, swap your jeep top from hard top to soft top (and vice versa), and then his guys will take your hard top / soft top back to his storage facility for the season. I forget what the price was, but if I recall correctly it was between $500 and $800 a year and the guy stayed busy.
$800 from one Jeeper? 🤩

There are two versions of the 392 pan. Early pans are aluminum, later pans are steel. Mine is aluminum, they hang way down, and the damn drain plug is on the bottom pointing straight down.

It's almost as if Jeep released a half baked rush job to respond to the Bronco. Just like that FAD blocking plate also in the picture, and the XR package with near zero uptravel in the front suspension. That is called panicking engineering.

But hey, that is what you get when you have 7 different engine options. You don't have engineering talent left for anything else.

The oil pan could get hit before the pumpkin, what a nightmare during offroading 🫣

I could be wrong but I'm reasonably certain my oil pan looks like this one. 👇

You could go every third change at 2k interval.

I just ordered this suction device to speed up my oil changes. My OCI is 2500 mi/3mos but I usually end up around 1700 mi. interval. So I may go filter every third which is still around 5-6k mi. That will save stress one the oil filter housing as well potentially improve filtration.

Thanks. Sir, how long does it take you to pump out the five quarts with that pump? Say when the oil is $195° hot

Over here on the peninsula outside temp was 43F today and this thread had me looking at my temps. Coolant was 217F and oil was 206F after 45 minutes in traffic to get home 12.6 miles! 2025 V6 6MT.

If you like the pan, check out the 392 oil filter's proximity to the frame crossmember in front of the engine. You can see the front of the oil pan in my photo. They had to form a concave section on the crossmember to create clearance. Not sure if they are all like this, mine is an early 21 model year.

The stock 392 filter is the same MO-339 found on the 2.0 Turbo. It's tiny, I guess that's why they use it.

It had an MO-899 on it when I bought it, which is a larger diameter filter used on 5.7 hemi's. I use the MO-041 392 SRT filter which is a bit larger than an 899.

I was concerned that the 041 filter would hit the frame when the engine torqued, but it doesn't show any indication of doing so. I've accelerated and decelerated as hard it can, and done BOH trails like Fern Ridge and Barney Rubble. This is my second oil change using an 041.
