That makes way more sense per your symptoms, and something I didn't know. Thank you for sharing. Awesome that it's an easy fix.Update for my issue. Turned out that the dealers description for the part that was at fault was wrong. The service advisor stated in troubleshooting/diagnosis the cabin temp sensor was the culprit. Instead the problem was a faulty air conditioning probe sensor. There's 4 of these on our climate control system. One on the passenger side and other one on the drivers and two in the upper center around and behind the radio. These are approx 8-10 dollar sensors going at this link below. My passenger side probe sensor had failed and had it changed in 15 minutes and bingo the heat temperature can be adjusted accurately again.
