I ordered the regular soft top it functions the same just a lighter material. I haven’t seen anything showing differences of material but I have had just a regular soft top on all my Jeeps and never had any issues.

I ordered the regular soft top on my JL Sport S. If I really need the premium, I can always upgrade later on down the....road.

I think the only difference between the sport and sport s is the windows are tinted on the non premium soft top. Bestop will have aftermarket tops out soon that will resemble the premium top.

Here's a video showing the Soft Top of Base Sport JL (they are only available with the Non-Premium top).
BTW, the still from the video shows a Red Rubicon, but it switches to a Silver Sport 2 Dr once it plays.
