I have a noise coming from the left side of the drivers side of the dash. It occurs whether the radio is on or off and sounds like bees buzzing especially on rougher roads. i can't locate whether it's coming from the dash, speaker or steering column or wheel. I brought it to the dealer and, of course, it didn't happen while there. Anybody else have this problem? Pretty annoying.

We affectionately call that the Charlie Brown Teacher Syndrome. Easy DIY fix... Take your pick of threads.

The sound I'm describing happens with the radio on or off. The speaker doesn't have to be active.

Sounds like the same thing I'm dealing with: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...vibration-rattle-from-driver-dash-area.12073/

Dealer was unable to find the cause and suggested I bring it in, again. Too much hassle, though.

I think it might be air coming under the windshield and causing something to vibrate. When it gets warmer I plan to drop my windshield to check the weather seal on the driver's side.

You might try the Charlie Brown thread fix anyway because there is a cable pushing up against the speaker cone. Even when the radio is off, the cable is vibrating against the speaker cone because the speaker cone is vibrating due to road vibration. It will only take a 5 minutes of your time, which is a lot less than taking it to a dealership, especially when they say they can't reproduce it.

Been there done that, but might help OP.

Any resolve this? I checked the links posted but what I’m experiencing is not a rattle or vibration noise. The car/radio/ac doesn’t have to be running , the once the dash light is on (not the infotainment center, the dash where it tells u to push start) I hear a high pitch noise/whining/frequency noise until the dash turns off.

Anyone got the same issue or any ideas?

Hi triRice,

We certainly understand why this would be concerning. If you are unable to determine the cause of this concern based on advice provided here, we kindly recommend connecting with your local Jeep dealer as they are in the best position to assist. Our team is available via private message if you are in need of any assistance with that process.

Is it like this?

My rubicon has 200 miles and this started. Only at highway speed and sounds like it's from the speaker. Turned radio off still does it. In the video it may sound more wind like but in person sounds like some kind of signal coming from speaker. Another trip to the dealer - they are still trying to figure out why my new jlru pulls right. Yay, sucks.

No, it’s nothing like that what I’m experiencing. Mine is more of a frequency noise.

Good luck with your JL though.

TriRice,

Did this ever get resolved? I have a 2020 jlu rubicon and think I have the same issue. It’s almost like a ringing in the ear sound. I open the door and the center push to start screen lights up and starts a high frequency that’s sound like my ears are ringing and stops once the dash turns off.

Have you put your hood up then put the ignition into ACC or ON without the engine running? There is a high pitched sound coming from the electronics in the engine bay.

I to have this hissing sound it's only when the engine is running. It sounds like it's coming from behind the vents of the AC but if I have the AC on or off it makes it if I have the radio on or off it makes it and it sounds like something circulating I look behind there and while the engine's running it's kind of hard to determine what's hissing is it the brake booster is it the you know the coolant right there cuz I see that running when I have the engine on, very very annoying.
