You claimed more than a refresh and whole new frame and tub
And I was right.

then claimed factory 37s.
ahem...from the quote YOU POSTED:

My bet is we're going to see a factory 37 option with the next Rubicon...

But these are just my educated guesses based on what i've seen.

You are playing tricks with semantics. This is a lot more than "just a refresh". But you will call it just a refresh because what I said was coming is here, and now you're scrambling to save face. You will grasp for any little detail you can find where I wasn't 100% accurate in an attempt to discredit everything I was right about.

This is the very definition of a refresh. Change the grill and add a new radio, voilĂ  done. That is how a refresh has been defined on models throughout the years. In 2011 the JK got a completely redesigned interior that shared almost no parts with the previous years interior. Still considered a refresh. This is no different. Your claims were bold and boisterous, but they amounted to very little substance if any. If you had predicted the ugly face, full float axle, UC5, etc. I would eat crow and say you were right.

I can't tell you what a grille is going to look like by looking at a bare frame, sorry. Again, you are assigning claims to me that I never made. The facts that I shared, and are now verifiable, were that the frame was redesigned (and as a result the tub would have changes too), and that there would be some really cool factory available accessory packages...and I know this because I know the guy who created those packages, and I saw the frame because it was on hand for the designing of those packages. I then made some further educated guesses about what else may be coming due to what I knew about the frame. THAT IS ALL. You and a few others then proceeded to add claims to what I actually said and then also tried to call me out on the claims that you created and assigned to me.

Honestly, I don't care if you eat crow or not. I know you'll never admit I was right. But you're not going to take a victory lap for a race you lost.

When do you think the next gen (post JL) wrangler will launch? I personally think it'll be quicker this time around because of the Bronco and other competition.
mid cycle lRefresh April 2023...lol

Not a next gen prediction, but I predict that for MY2025 they drop the 392, the 3.6 (and manual trans), and probably even the non-eTorque 2.0. Leaving only the 2.0 eTorque and 4XE.

I'm really surprised that the 392 and V6 aren't already gone. It appears to be the manual transmission that is keeping the V6 alive. So yeah, I would agree that the 392 is going away by 2025 at the latest, but now i'm not so sure that the V6 will be gone that soon.

You claimed all new frame and all new tub and that it would be more than a refresh. All of those statements are BS. The frame was barely changed at all, same with the tub. It amounts to nothing more than a refresh. Where do you find any truth in your previous statement? And what claims do you feel that I created, I have done nothing but quote you and your words. You are the one scrambling to say that this is what you predicted. Even though it doesn't fit your narrative at all.

They don't appear to have a fix for the overheating clutch issue. And the newly announced Rubicon X will be automatic-only. Sucks because I'm a die hard manual fan, but the writing is on the wall.

Typically the Wrangler runs on a ten year-ish cycle. So we should expect to see the new one around 28. Might get it sooner if they decide to use the Hurricane engine before then. Unlikely to use that engine with the JL due to space constraints. If they do, we will have spy information soon. As they will have to build mules and test them.

This is hilarious. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU"RE TALKING ABOUT!!! How do you know the frame and tub were "barely changed at all"? You have no idea!

The rest of your argument boils down to semantics. You are just trying to play it down as a refresh...and really, I can't say that's wrong objectively because what's the definition of a refresh? I disagree subjectively - a refresh is generally a grille, color options and a few other tweaks. This JL has A LOT more than that. There's really no point in going on with this component of the discussion because there really isn't a right answer.

He has doubled down in a manner not frequently seen here, and that's really saying something.

I can observe with my own eyes that there aren't enough changes to tell a difference. If it's not perceptible then I would not consider it to be all new. The only thing that I can tell changed on the frame and body is a new crossmember for the winch package, and the ugly grill. But you are the expert. It's out now, no embargoes, tell us what they changed. You claimed before that the frame change was "obviously to clear 37s" lay your cards on the table.

OH right, so I must be wrong because you can't SEE the changes. It's incredible to me that you think this is a reasonable response. But you aren't the only curmudgeon who's feelings are apparently hurt by my sharing of information so I guess it's a thing.

But you are the expert. It's out now, no embargoes, tell us what they changed. You claimed before that the frame change was "obviously to clear 37s" lay your cards on the table.
I never said the frame change was "obviously to clear 37s". I said it was obviously for tire clearance. That led me to SPECULATE that there would be a factory 37 option...and as we all know, I could still be right about that. When did the XR package launch? Think about that.

That said, with the information you already got from me, I shouldn't need to explain what changed about the frame - use your knowledge about the vehicle you know and some deductive reasoning. The rail spacing has changed - which necessitated the relocation of several brackets and mount points on both the frame and the tub. It also required the redesign of the winch - because it physically wouldn't fit between the rails. I knew about this before the I6 was announced, and when it was speculated that it might make it to the JL, someone mentioned that it was probably too big to fit the current JL without frame modification, and then that "wait a minute!" lightbulb went off in my head - maybe the frame modification was for more than just tire and suspension clearance....maybe they ARE going to stuff that motor in there. So that's why I posted.

Again, I never stated as fact anything more than the frame had changed and that there were a few other changes necessitated by that change. Everything else was my own speculation, and I made that clear. The rest was added by you and a couple other members who were, for some reason, deeply offended that I would share some interesting information I had learned.
