I had my windows tinted on my 21 JL. The tech offered to put a film on the windshield exterior to prevent cracks. It worked pretty well, one year and 25,000 miles, and only a small divot on the drivers side.

mostly sees long road trips to wheel. i dont daily drive it since my work provided me with a Pickup truck

One month old 2023 Sport S, at 613 miles, first chip. Will wait for a few more before replacing. Knew this was a common occurrence but was hoping to drive it more before this happening.

First windshield replaced after 12 months. 18 months later still on second windshield but have repaired 3 star cracks, two of which occurred one week apart. Never had this with my JK. Always the result of rocks from oncoming traffic.
