So I just upgraded my tires and wheels at a local tire shop and had them put new TPMS sensors in. They said I would have to come back after I had them mounted up so they could re-pair the sensors to the Jeep. It seems they all worked except the driver's rear tire which won't read on the dash. The three others show up on the dash at the correct pressure.
The tech at the tire shop said "Oh, you have one of the weird jeeps. For some reason, tire techs get locked out of some Jeeps." He said it just happened to him on a Gladiator the other day. Then I took it to the dealership and they said all the sensors were reading; he could get the pressure for the drivers rear on his tablet but still not showing up on the dash. They said a new sensor would probably fix it.
So, back to the other tire shop where they were super cool and replaced that sensor for me in 20 minutes. But, 24hrs later and about 50 miles and it's still not reading.
Anyone with experience here? Should I be bugging the dealership to re-flash the system? Or bugging the tire shop to keep messing with the sensors?
One thing I haven't tired yet is swapping the spare on and seeing if that reads on the dash. I'll keep y'all updated.
