My fiancé bought me a quadratec stealth 12k synthetic winch for my birthday.

I have the steel stubby bumper with Maximus 3 front tow loops

What else do I need to buy?

I know for sure I need a winch plate, but which in should I get? I want it to look as oem matching as possible (money not an issue) looks is a priority

I’m also getting the factor 55 pro link In red.

The quadratec comes with a fair lead but should U get something nicer or better?

What’s the best possible set up?

Also anyone have any concerns about the 12k vs the 10k? Size or weight difference? Harder to install/fit?

Any known issues with the Maximus 3 tow loops and winches?

Is it possible to wire this winch to my voswitch? Do I need to? I don’t want random people turning on my winch and draining my battery

I have only used the warn winch plate with my steel bumper but any plate for the stock steel should work.
There should be no fitment issues as the biggest bodied winch I believe is the warn zeon line and the rest and easier to fit.
You will have to remove the bumper to install the winch plate.
The hawse filled is fine unless you want a different look.
Factor 55 makes fairleads too in 1 inch and 1.5 inch. The 1.5 inch they say is better for sharper angle pulls.
There should be no issues with the tow loops.
I believe maximus 3 also makes a winch plate.
10k vs 12k is preference. Some 12Ks just have a slower line speed but not a deal breaker and also can have shorter line.

Thanks.

So what’s the best most oem looking centering plate?

Also when removing the bumper, I understand there are 4 bolts on each side. Those bolts were a pain with the Maximus tow loops

The fairlead you can just use what comes with it or choose something different you like the look of better.
Also for the steel bumper you may need a plate that mounts behind the fairlead to cover up the holes left behind from removing the plastic cove where the fIrlead will mount.
Something like this....

Your winch wiring must be per the manufacturer instructions. Direct to the battery. Controlling the winch is done by either the manufacturer's wired controller or wireless controller.

Most winches can't be operated by someone without a controller. But the usually can be shifted to neutral by an exposed lever and rope can be spooled out. An expensive, pretty, hook like those Factor 55 hooks, are an attractive nuisance. A flip of the lever and a pocket knife are all that's needed to liberate it

Unfortunately I see this after purchasing. Haven’t lost it yet but it is concerning that it so easy.

I too was wondering… Which winch would you use with which winch plate? I wouldn’t willfully wish that decision on anyone. Well, except maybe a witchy winch wench who wrestles with wrenches on Wednesdays while regularly working on Willys. Well, we definitely wouldn’t want the wrong winch to go with the wrong winch plate, regardless. Wow, that would be woefully wrong in so many ways! ?‍♂

Thanks for the help folks. I think I figured it out. Hope this set up works but won’t know until it’s installed based on how the power settings work on the winch since I want it connected to an aux switch.

Quadratec stealth 12k winch synthetic/fairlead
Maximus 3 winch plate
Mopar centering plate
Factor 55 pro link w/ rope guard
Warn power interrupter solenoid

The wuadratec winch has a power button on the side of the unit. The power interrupter allows me to control power to the winch with my aux switch(voswitch). - I just hope I can press the winch power button set to on, and press the six button to power the winch everytime or if it will require me to press the power button on the winch everytime I press the aux switch
