Are you guys into Seriousoff roading? If not, the Rubicon is overkill. Limited slip will perform better in any slick conditions on road and will carry you pretty well anywhere you’d likely care to go off-road. MyTJ has limited slip rear and ARB locker on front. Found I seldom ever used the ARB. On my ‘20 I never bothered ith the front and it’s served me very well. To date, I’ve pulled 2Rubi’s out of messes they’d gotten into ( and proceeded on down the trail (though I DID pick a better line). Rubi’s are a lot of extra scratch for stuff MOST people will ever need. Ck Gupton’s in Tn for some good deals! Good luck!

If you go to the right dealer? Absolutely.

As others have mentioned: look at the spreadsheet in my sig.
I checked out that spreadsheet. The closest dealer to me is Mall of GA.

Since the following subject recurringly makes the rounds on the forum, and not always with a happy ending, I'll mention the following:

When a buyer can't or won't proceed with taking delivery of his vehicle, there have been instances when the dealer either refuses to refund the deposit, or refuses to transfer (apply) the funds towards the purchase of another vehicle. In other words, the funds are retained by the dealership without recourse to the buyer.

The foregoing is linked to dealer policy. To protect your own interests here, you'll want to determine what your dealer would do if you find yourself in similar circumstances.

By way of example, in PA, a dealer must by law return a buyer's deposit to him when he requests that they do so. In that precise instance, they aren't allowed to retain it. It's understood that the buyer then loses any claim he has to the vehicle in question, but he's also protected from loss. Not every state provides the same degree of consumer protection.

Keep this in mind, doubly so if you do place a factory order and the dealer requires a substantial deposit figure. Mine required only $500.00, which was IMO fair and reasonable. I've seen posts mentioning deposit requirements that were as high as $2K.

P.S. -- Ask if or how you'll be price-protected if the cost of your Wrangler would increase between the order and the delivery dates. That's another instance where some folks got stung and others (like me) haven't.
Great advice, thank you.
