I just "inherited" my wife's 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys 2-Door. She leased it about a year ago and found out it's too hard to get in and out of with her bad back and knees. So, I traded my 2021 Ford Ranger XLT for a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek for my wife to drive. I loved my Ranger, but also love the Jeep as well. I was part of the Ford Ranger Forum and enjoyed learning and contributing. I am a high school Mathematics Instructor and live in Minnesota and love the outdoors, so the Wrangler fits our lifestyle perfectly - especially in the winter with all the snow.

Anything I should be aware of with the 2023 model? It has the 3.6 liter engine with an automatic transmission. I know the Ranger had its "flaws" (transmission was a big one). I pretty much keep my vehicles stock when it comes to the drive train and suspension, but enjoy adding "fun" accessories. When the lease is up, I plan on purchasing the Wrangler and having it for many years (at least on paper). I am currently at 10,000 miles. I added factory running boards, factory grab handles, and a locking lug nut for the spare tire.

Thank You for having me!

Welcome to the Forum!
The 2023, is basically a good year for Wranglers. Just maintain it well, and you should be fine. Plus you have plenty of warranty left, in case that you need it. For those that keep theirs long term, there are MOPAR extended warranty Insurance policies available..FYI

You're good - you definitely got the right engine (outside of the 392  )

Thank You! I love doing my own work and it looks like oil changes, transfer case, differentials, etc. are pretty straight forward to work on.

Nice Willys, welcome!
Thanks! Got my first Jeep Wave on the way home from work this afternoon! My wife has a collection of ducks from when she drove it.
