I just "inherited" my wife's 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys 2-Door. She leased it about a year ago and found out it's too hard to get in and out of with her bad back and knees. So, I traded my 2021 Ford Ranger XLT for a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek for my wife to drive. I loved my Ranger, but also love the Jeep as well. I was part of the Ford Ranger Forum and enjoyed learning and contributing. I am a high school Mathematics Instructor and live in Minnesota and love the outdoors, so the Wrangler fits our lifestyle perfectly - especially in the winter with all the snow.
Anything I should be aware of with the 2023 model? It has the 3.6 liter engine with an automatic transmission. I know the Ranger had its "flaws" (transmission was a big one). I pretty much keep my vehicles stock when it comes to the drive train and suspension, but enjoy adding "fun" accessories. When the lease is up, I plan on purchasing the Wrangler and having it for many years (at least on paper). I am currently at 10,000 miles. I added factory running boards, factory grab handles, and a locking lug nut for the spare tire.
Thank You for having me!
