Well I just opened my box....Little bit upset as they look like 7" lights with a attachment. Guess I did not look at the photos close enough.

I had a JKU and had LED headlights from Amazon, they were 75 watt Phillips Knock offs. they were awesome... but they were only 100 bucks.

I mean I have no doubts those headlights will be a good improvement, Its just that I know that I can get exactly the same headlights cheaper. So Im not trying to bash anyone except for the sponsors here who are deliberately misleading people.

Im sure they will work great, I just would buy the stuff cheaper.

I understand why the aftermarket has not filled this gap. JL headlights are basically proprietary and a good chunk of buyers already have the factory package. It's just too small a market.

For example, I saw where JW Speaker was showing off some really cool headlights that are bluetooth-enabled and have an app with all kinds of features. But again - 7 inches with a bracket for the JL.

So my question is whether Mopar will ever release the package for the Sport with the harness. Because I am giving up on the aftermarket.

The beauty of the 7 inch round headlight is that it also fits harleys... so it was easy to mass produce them and have tons of customers for JKs and Harley's.

I dont know of any other vehicle using the JL headlight so it may be literally years till we get decent ones.

If Im dropping 5-700 Id get someone to custom fit my existing housings with HID + projectors and reseal them

That is my point. There just isn't a business case for creating proprietary headlights when 7 inch are so much more common.

I went with the $80 adapter from Amazon and a set of well reviewed headlights for $92. Install was easy and they work. I'm still waiting for it to get dark to check out the beam pattern and adjust them.

Are these the ones from LX-Light on amazon? I just ordered the same thing with their adapter, I was hoping this will hold me until the market gets flooded with pure 9" housings

Yep, those are the ones. That's exactly what I'm thinking. For the price you can't beat them until some solid 9" lights become available. I figure I could put some heated 7" on those brackets at some point.

Awesome! Any advice before I install?
