New member here with a quick question. Installed MOPAR LED headlights, no flicker, but on highbeam, the low beams cut out. Asked 2 techs at dealer and they said this is normal, I’m skeptical as there is no light illuminating the road only high up. Thinking of buying a Tazer JL to fix, am I correct?. Thanks guys!

A lot of vehicles turn off the low beams when the high beams are turned on.

Tazer only keeps fogs from dropping out during high bean use

The tazer or a dealer reflash can correct this.

Halogen lights are h13 dual filament bulb. It has a low filament and a high filament. Both on at the same time would burn the bulb out. The body control module can be reflash/reprogrammed to NOT cut the low signal when highs are switched on. Dealer code for the headlights is LPX I believe, or a tazer can do it.

Not sure why people say it can’t be done. OEM LED headlights are meant to have both on at the same time. I’ve made halo adapters for others who have corrected the hi/low as well with either dealer or tazer (although for some dealer reflash took several attempts or techs learning how to properly upload the reprogram)
