The trans failed at 328K, it sat around for a couple years because he intended to restore it. Gave up and sold as is. Nice SC SB lowered black truck. But you don’t just replace the trans at 328K, and the interior was shot, but the body was in good shape.
That next generation after… the 05+, nowhere near as nice looking. The big ol bumper hanging off the front was the worst part. Honestly, if they did a similar body style as the 97-04 again, it would be tempting.

IF I lived where I could put at least an old school 340 6 pack in it…… a friend had one many moons ago, the V6 was gutless.

They do it for people that don’t pay attention to what they’re doing.

Is it really that hard to follow the instructions?
Are you admitting that you were blatantly wrong when you said:

Probably won’t fit, different size hex and socket for pre and main chamber.
?

The engine is toast for everyone like you who thinks they wouldn't design an engine where you could make a simple mistake like that and trash it.

Have you seriously looked up instructions whenever you've changed spark plugs? I'm thinking most of us just figure out what to put in and do it.

What used to be routine maintenance has gotten kinda complicated depending on the vehicle in question.
So many times you get what you pay for.
If you trust a garage with questionable staff then maybe it’s time you re think it.
Do we go back to points, carburetors and valves that need periodic adjustments?
Now, more than ever you should educate yourself on the task before attempting it. Cars will not get any simpler anytime soon.
I’d be ok with it. Modest income owners could afford to fix their cars and simple enough to do it themselves outside of warranty. HEI got rid of points and super simple.

I think the happy medium was 90’s to early 2000’s tech but preferably before multiple BCM’s. Speed density or MAF EFI, 4L80E or 46Re-like robustness, More room to work in the engine bay, no flashing when replacing parts, etc…decent times.

A 4x4 setup suits that body style best imo. Looks great that way.

Then just put em in.
Ignore post #11, possibly useless information.

The convertible is quite rare, too bad they only had the underpowered V6. Did that body style otherwise offer a V8 ? I don’t recall, but think they did. If so an old school V8 swap would be relatively simple. He liked odd vehicles, Opal GT, Rotary Mazda, and a 40 Willys PU project with a narrow Nailhead Buick that fit.

Wasn’t the Shelby available as a convertible? Not sure anymore.

Back in the eighties I got hooked on offroad racing.
My first racing rig was a modded 82 Datsun 720.
A Z22 I4 with eight plugs.
All same plugs.
Using two types of plugs is a very bad accident waiting to happen IMO.

I'm pretty sure @alphawolff's post (#11) was the useful information. Yours prior to that, however, was obviously erroneous:
Probably won’t fit, different size hex and socket for pre and main chamber.
Oh crap, are you one of those people that can't admit they they could possibly have made a mistake? I've definitely made a few.

Did I say they were interchangeable?
Don’t think so, all I ever said was look at the directions and the fact that a different tool is needed for the pre and main combustion chamber. What makes you think that the spark plug requirements would be the same.
Because on a HEMI they are?

I mean what could possibly go wrong? Just about everything. I guess we’ll find out.
