Interesting. So the 2Doors on the 12th are the hard tops? But if you ordered it with a soft top it won't be built until mid March?

Oh well, I still really like the soft top more than hardtop. The ease of taking everything off anytime I want trumps the hardtop any day of the week!

BRING ON MARCH!

Yeah that' what i have been reading. I had ordered a soft top but then changed it cause I wanted both and figured they should run the harness and washer line as well as flash the module. I will get a soft top after, either oem or aftermarket

Anybody know if Jeeps get trucked directly to New England from Toledo or do they spend anytime on a train first? I ordered from Station 3 weeks ago so still have some waiting to do on my Billet JLUR 6 spd. Hopefully the manual trans doesn’t extend my wait too long.

Not sure about the train but I did read somewhere on here that the manual will be longer.

Hey everyone, we have a question. We are getting ready to order our JL soon, but have been going back and forth on the idea of the hardtop vs premium soft top (the dual top group is not a consideration, if we go hardtop, we will buy an aftermarket soft).
My wife wants to hear from some experienced owners (this will be our first jeep, but not our first convertible).
She is concerned that if we buy the soft top, how well the premium version really insulates the cabin, so....
1. On those cold New England days, will the 4dr warm up in a decent timely manner?
2. On those hot 90+ humid days, will the A/C actually be effective (before you say it's a jeep drive around with the top off in the summer, we have 2 very young ones that will be with her a lot in the summer) and actually cool down the cabin.

We had a VW Sportwagen not long ago that both the heat and A/C were terrible, cool rainy days and really cold days, we couldn't keep the windows from being coated in moisture and fogged up.

Hopefully some of you previous soft top owners can give some insight, and thanks in advance.

Get the hard top since all the wiring is there to begin with, much harder to add later vs a soft top if you change your mind. The roof still comes off and the freedom panels are easy to take on and off quickly. That's my vote.

This is what we plan to order btw. Doing aftermarket rims and tires once delivered.

Thank you, but the whole issue with some wiring not being there, what exactly is the wiring harness for? Wiper and defroster? The wife is more concerned with the livability without a hard top.

Yes Wiper and the Defrost. Still vote to go with the Hard Top.

Gave the guys over the crown outlet store in Canton a chance to crawl over my JL, first they have seen. Obviously they don't have much for the JL, maybe a few universal parts will fit but they are also a distributor for Rusty's and few other brands.
