I go back and forth on this one and the crawler one thats full width
the crawler is really nice too. I do stress a little about the pinch weld by the rear tire getting hit but so far its been ok. either are a great choice in my opinion. really like the CavFab stuff so far

I'm pretty happy with the Metalcloak crawler rear bumper. Full coverage on the pinch seam:

But also pretty low profile:

AEV does look really good. Any feedback on how strong it is? I though the OEM steel bumper on my Ruby was strong, but it got pretty bent out of shape.
I've landed on my AEV rear bumper many, many times. It is holding up extremely well. The Rubicon Trail, etc.

Note that it's made of hot stamped boron steel. I'm pretty sure they're the only company on the planet using that for bumpers. It's incredibly strong and light.

If you're looking for better than OEM quality then this is it. It is, however, stupidly expensive.

If you have an AEV certified dealership nearby then check the bumpers out in person.

You and me both bruv
ARB is a good option to AEV.

I have no perusal experience with AEV, but had a lot with ARB.

ARB and Ironman4x4, You basically can bulldoze things and not worry about dang thing. They are heavy though.

I knocked my back bumper out of whack on the Rubicon last week with three days of pounding. It's the steel bumper on my 2022 JLUR XR. Now I'm looking for a new bumper. I would like to find a bumper that has a separate gate for the tire and is durable enough to hold up to heavy pounding. Any suggestions?
I’ve been looking at this one but don’t have experience with it
