Just picked up my first Jeep - a 2024 Willys V6 6MT w/ SOT. Love it!

Picked it up on Saturday in a downpour so wasn't able to see this upon first inspection. The weather stripping at the top of the C Pillar has excess sealant oozing out. Both sides are the same. Is this normal? I'm surprised Jeep let this leave the factory like this?

Ignore what @AlgUSF said. It's not normal.
I said it is normal, for Jeep. I’ve found “spare” bolts under seats, paint defects, transfer case cable installed incorrectly, and many more.

Is stuff like this normal for Jeep, yes. Is it acceptable, no. Get it fixed if it bothers you. Some of the issues that I’ve encountered I didn’t have the dealer “fix”, some I have.

If it doesn't leak, I would let it slide. Chances are the guy at the dealer will make it worse trying to replace it. Take many pictures of the whole Jeep before you hand over the keys.

I'm starting to think the same thing. I bought the Jeep at Ourisman in MD so I may ask them to send me replacement seals and I'll install them myself. All the dealers around me here in MA have 1 star reviews with really bad service stories.

Can someone do me a favor and post a pic of what it's supposed to look like? Is it a friction fit or is there supposed to be glue/sealant?

I may try to heat it up to see if I can just remove the excess and avoid an unnecessary dealer service visit.
Keep in mind that if you mess something up, you are responsible and won't be covered.

You have a brand new 2024 vehicle with a warranty. Take advantage of that and get this checked and fixed at the dealer.

It must have failed the leak test at the factory and this was their fix! They could have done a better job of finishing the repair! Hopefully you can clean it up yourself and not have to take it back, or replace it. If it's not leaking now, I'd be afraid any repair the Dealership did, or if I replaced it myself, might cause it to leak again.
