I’ve never thought about this before but it makes sense. I mainly use collapsible fishing poles when my top is on, or regular when I’m topless. This would be an easier way to transport larger poles. I like the idea.
My wrangler is my daily that gets me around mainly on pavement. The only off-roading I do is in the cattle pasture to hit my fishing ponds. Something you need a 4wd with a little clearance to do. I don’t go rock crawling and have no desire to.
If I found a well equipped bronco, it was heavily discounted over msrp, and they gave me way more in a trade then my Jeep was worth, then… Nevermind, I’d just buy another Wrangler. :)
All advice that you receive online is only worth the time it takes to type it. IMO as long as you don’t lock the front and bind the axle you’ll be fine.
IMO you’re missing the point here man. Nobody really needs a manual in 2023 because automatics are excellent now. Manuals are for the fun factor, which is why I’m a car guy.
Wow, if they come out with a manual electric I’d be interested. All that torque on a manual sounds very fun. This coming from a guy that swore he would never drive an electric.
I have 20k miles on my Jeep. I’ve never retorqued my suspension and have stock Willys MT tires.
The problem started a few months ago. I didn’t notice it every time, but now more frequently it seems. Or it’s also possible I’m hyper aware of it.
My wrangler drives fine on the road, no issues at all. The only thing that’s funky is when I’m backing up and have the wheel turned pretty tight. It feels like the passenger front wheel wobbles, similar to what it feels like if you’re driving over a bump, but it’s on a smooth surface. To...
When I was test driving gladiators, I was unimpressed by how slow they accelerated with the 3.6. I drive many different flavors from Overland, Rubicon, and Willys. The first time I sat in my Wrangler I was shocked at how peppy it was. I never really thought about the weight until then and it...
My 19 Ram did this all the dang time. It was so annoying so I know how you feel. It was due to the capless design to reduce fumes being released back into the atmosphere. I was never able to fix it and just traded it.
I love that my 22 wrangler has a normal gas cap. No problems with it.
So true. When I first got my JL I thought it was malfunctioned and wouldn't go into 4wd. After reading this forum I put some umph behind it and it went in. It does get easier over time, but the first few times sure is rough. It feels like you're going to break something.
