Rear led parking lamp stopped working. Took it to my local Jeep dealership (Don K Whitefish Montana) and was given the news, “this is happening with more and more Rubicon’s but Jeep won’t fix it since the led is built into the fixture, it can’t be changed like a lightbulb and it will cost you $2,500.71 to buy a new fixture”

at 57,000 miles, my dash started blinking for the rear diff being engaged although it wasn’t. Again, Jeep knows it a faulty part. The sensor in the diff wasn’t made “water proof” and goes bad sitting all day in diff fluid. The entire rear drive shaft would need to be replaced and again, cost thousands.

anytime I drive off a paved road I get warning lights randomly going off on my dash. Come to find out again, this happens all the time and it even has a name among owners, the Christmas Tree of Death.

I was told today at the above dealership that Jeeps are no longer made for serious offroad driving. They did a study and found most never see dirt so they stopped building them for it

The new Jeeps just aren’t worth the price anymore. Switching back to a Toyota when I can afford to.
That sucks. Bought the extended warranty for these reasons…not that expensive from grangers. Unfortunately I think all new vehicles are like this now. For example, Toyotas with metal shavings in the engines, etc. May be you can get some lights from junk yard or aftermarket for cheaper. Good luck.

if you frequent the dealership for service, grab some of this when it's on sale.

I think you have dealership problem.

A light went out after your warranty was up. Dealership says we are going to charge you $2500 for a $100 part. And yeah, Jeep and everyone else on earth knows that lights go out sometimes.

Your diff sensor went out while in warranty and your dealership wants to charge thousands.

Then your dealership tells you Jeeps aren’t made to go off road.

I think you need to be done with that dealership.

Looks like the MSRP of a Mopar LED tail light is $1,100 each; you can get them for $750 a pop. That is $1,500 to $2,200 in parts, depending if you pay full price or not. See below

It takes literally 10 minutes to swap a tail light.

If the dealer is quoting $1,500 in parts, then $1,000 for 20 minutes of labor seems excessive.

If the dealer is quoting $2,200 in parts + $300 in labor, then the dealer is still being excessive.

The bigger story here is that CDJR dealers, Jeep and Stellantis have very little credibility left with customers. And I share that feeling with the OP.

My current 2023 Gladiator is very likely the last vehicle I ever buy from Stellantis.

Tail lights are a few hundred for a pair, just buy new ones and move on? Sensors are cheap just buy and replace? If that's the worst you've had in 70k miles is it really that bad?
Guessing he has the blind spot radar in his lights. Jeep integrated the radar into the lights.

That makes the Oracle flush tail lights look a lot better.

Yes!! Buy a Tundra and replace the engine, or buy a Tacoma to replace the transmission. All car brands have issues! Toyota is not the same as well. Welcome to the new world order!!!
