new guy to forum. I have a red 16 pin plug piggybacked to obd2 connector. male connector. Also have no power or ground to obd2. looks factory. thanks in advance for replies. Oh ...., 2020 wrangler black and tan 2 door.

yes - copart purchase. easy repair to frame and srs. odd that there is no ground on # 4 or 5. No dash lights, runs and drives as it should. will get pics shortly(camera issue).

problem solved - after market plug(identical to factory obd) was inserted into obd bracket and the real obd plug tucked up under dash. got obd function now with no dash lights. So - i am left with black(male) and red(female) 16 pin plugs and a stick-on toggle with phone icon. if i run it down i will post with pics. thanks for the looks. frank

Sounds like a GPS tracking device, they piggy back them off the OBD and tuck them out of sight.

ultimately and finally the plug is a factory/dealer installed tracker. read the damn sticker on the drivers side window and confirmed with jeep that it is still active if i wish to reconnect it.
