bought a “used” non-premoum soft top (a whole 100 miles of use lol). Soft top installed great, but I have NO clue what these plastic pieces are for. Help?

Nothing? Do y'all have ANY idea how disturbing it is to have small parts left over from something like this?:blush::facepalm::cwl:
(I checked sources online with no luck)

I didn't watch the whole video but it did show all the parts that are required.

Saw that video... I didn't see anything that resembled those tiny parts :(

Alright. I'll try to attach t he soft top installation manual from Mopar. If that doesn't show you where they go then the only other idea I can think of is to contact Bestop @Bestop as they I believe are the ones who make the soft tops (not 100% positive thought). After that (or before preferably) look at the parts closely - there should be a part # on the back of each. Google that # using "Mopar" in front of it and you're likely to solve the mystery.

yes, bestop makes the oem soft tops for mopar.
now i don't have a soft top (2 door), but with my experience from past TJ's, i believe those would be the rear tailgate bar brackets. but i may be wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the above video, but it shows a premium soft top install while the OP has a basic.

I've never seen those parts coming with my soft top, but I too have a premium (said matter of factly, not to brag.)

Good luck.

I can't imagine the basic and premium soft tops differing in hardware but only in fabric (vinyl or twill). I agree with caged above that it appears to be for the rear tailgate.

But to throw a little more looking into it - in the pic the left piece is different from the right. We have 4 screws. Those threads could only be for plastic and/or harder rubber. So now we're talking two different places they could go right?

I've replaced the soft top fabric on a sports car and it's a whole lots of parts. it's unreal.

Maybe part #6 which appears above the front doors?

Do both your sides and rear window snap into place properly?
