I love my new MT tires, but they occasionally fling rocks at the side of my Jeep, which I don’t love.
im debating between getting mud flaps (maybe Weathertech) or getting side steps or rocker guards (maybe reaper immortal side steps). Anyone with experiences with both mud flaps and side steps/rocker guards have any idea which would be more effective at keeping rocks from hitting the side of my Jeep? My offset on my new wheels was +30, so they don’t stick out much, if that helps (I thought that would keep this from happening, but not always).
Thanks.

I have a 2 door & I got mud flaps (front only) first. Then with my people bugging me to get side steps for them, I got those too. Mudflaps weren’t in the way so I just left them on. So no reason you can’t have both if you can’t decide.

I added rock slider/steps that stick out about 4 inches. They do slant back from the tires though. They definitely help with mud and rocks but they aren't perfect. I drove through a small area of 1/4 inch deep mud yesterday and I haven't washed it yet so here are some pics. IT is an XR though so I have some poke.

I've had these from the factory. Zero issues, plus they don't hang low like a mud flap would.

Very helpful visual- I wonder if mud flaps would have done any better.
I do have a little bit of poke too:

Rokblokz are easily removable.

I too have the Rokblokz and really like em, but they can't stop every thing. I've done a few trips to Moab and the RokBlokz didn't get in the way. I personally am not a fan of running boards.

That said, if you have family or friends that need a step up the running boards that @Wbino shared look like a good option as well.

Here’s my “after” test picture when I first did the mudflaps. Just a little mud splashed up on the rear fender and as I recall the “before” picture ( I can’t find) had dirt in an arc up the door etc. I don’t get anything kicked up on the side with the step & mudflap. Standard mopar step like the Blue guy has.

I have the Roam rails and Rockbloks have been happy with both. The Rockbloks do more to stop rocks.

I have Rokblokz, RockSlide Engineering sliders and XR flare extensions on my 392. 2 years in and no rock chips anywhere, muddy water yes but no rocks. I run mostly forestry roads so it was a must for me. My 24 2 door is getting the same treatment.

Late to the party, but I have the White Knuckle rails/steps (~4") and there's definitely a fair bit of stuff that makes it past
