I need to protect my lower door hinges and my painted rear fender from flying rocks. I'm getting lots of paint chips. Looking at where the mud is on yours, I don't think they will help. Are those the standard size or XL?Yep... so far the Rokblokz are the only game in town (far as I can tell). At present I only have the fronts on, will add the rears once I replace the plastic rear bumper. But there's only so much any mud flap can do when going through mud too fast... though it did keep most of the mud off the side!
I was getting serious chipping on my hinges from day 1. Not a huge deal (it's a Jeep) and easily cleaned up with touchup paint. NO chips since adding the flaps. The muddy picture was after going through mud a bit too fast (some mud actually splashed over the windshield with the Sunrider open... still cleaning some mud off the interior). So the flaps did a decent job of keeping most of it off as there is no thick mud on the doors. Rear fenders may still be somewhat vulnerable but only way to totally prevent that would be running boards (not happening with my Jeep) or longer flaps (not really practical).
Thanks, I just placed an order! Got into some nasty mud last weekend with my JLUR, holy shit does this thing need mudflaps....hahaha.....I had mud running down the doors and the hinges were growing before our very eyes....
No. I sold my rock rails and put on the mopar side steps and the flaps don't fit. There's a part of the flap that sticks out and fits to the contour of the Sport/Sahara wheel well. The Rubicon wheel well is straight.
