Hello! I have searched the forums and it seems that mud flaps for an Unlimited High Altitude (2022 Sahara) can be a little tricky. I found a set, open box, that have never been installed but they are missing the rivets. I called the company and asked if they could tell me the rivet size, but they could not. I'm hoping that someone here knows what size rivets are needed for mud flaps? Open to recommendations as well as I haven't purchased them yet.

Not sure how they're tricky, there's 199 options on extreme terrain when filtered for a 2022 high altitude.
That being said, these are real cheap and will work better than plastic rivets

Mud flaps for a sahara unlimted will not fit a sahara unlimited high altitude, according to folks on the forum so you have to be very specific; I'm not the only one who didn't know that. If I knew everything I wouldn't have to ask here. Lucky you! You must have come out of the womb knowing everything about vehicles.

You didn't say which mud flaps. There's a ton, even for the high altitude. Hence my post that there are 199 options (now 196 somehow) on extreme terrain. There's no way for anyone to know what rivet size you need based the info you provided. Don't get snippy cause you can't take some sarcasm.

Youre asking us to solve an equation with only numbers and no operators.

Please excuse my ignorance. I assumed since rivets are provided (normally, just not in this open box) that there were already holes in the jeep for rivets. My 4 wheeler panels all have holes for rivets. Many of the comments on mud flaps say that they didn't fit the holes on the vehicle and they ended up drilling more holes. I think there are more secure ways to install a mudflap, so I'm surprised that they would include rivets, unless the Jeep already had the holes for them. Cleary a bad assumption. I am not near my Jeep to look and since I don't have the mudflaps, I didn't have instructions on how to mount them. I think it was a reasonable conclusion given all the comments I read about the mudflaps don't really line up with the holes. FYI, I have had a company car my entire adult life and this is the first vehicle that I have purchased and wanted to "customize" and do it myself. I was hoping for a little grace here...your comment wasn't really rude, but you could have just noted that you needed the mud flap brand/model. I doubt anyone could tell me the size even with that info, and now knowing what I know, I think there are better options than a rivet. Thank you.

Sarcastic and unkind aren’t the same thing, sorry if you took it that way. Questions with no info are common and usually are people that don’t want to put in any of their own effort, and that shit got old about 15 years ago. So yeah, default response to that is the forum equivalent of a “let me google that for you” link.
I pointed out that there were a ton of options, it seems logical that it’d be hard to answer your question. Rivets go through 2 holes, so even if there were existing holes on the jeep, different sizes might be needed for different mud flaps. I also gave you what is legitimately a better solution. Plastic rivets don’t hold terribly well in the first place, much less on something like mud flaps that’s going to get hit by stuff a lot.

If these are the same little extra mud flaps that come on the "X" version (Extreme), then yes, black rivets. Ace Hardware usually has them, and you will need a rivet gun, and a matching drill bit. You should be able to match up sizes needed at Ace.

Yeah, you could do that or just get a kit for $12 at Harbor Freight. I used these when I put my fender liner back on after doing my Aux Battery.

EDIT: I had the wrong link

one day we might find out what ones they are ... I thought the the XR things were called fender extensions though. mudflaps would be a lot lower.

I think I have seen these too, but they are different from mud flaps. Thanks!
