For those of you who own a 2020 JL, what are the most common issues that still exist with them? I have one on order and I’m wondering which issues FCA has corrected and which are still a problem. For example, I’ve heard about ongoing weld issues. I‘ve also heard it was common for the rear window seal to leak. I’m kinda hoping that they’ve resolved these issue by now. I’m also hoping that they’ve resolved the steering issues. I’d love to hear from some 2020 owners. Thanks

I have a 2020 2dr turbo that I bought 3 months ago and now has 3500 miles on it with zero of those problems. I did have to put diaelectric grease on all the weather stripping to stop all the squeaking that comes from it. Now I have to deal with the creaking of the plastic dash which I’m going to toss up as a Jeep thing. A couple other minor things in there but so far so good without the major problems.

April 2019 build 2019 JLUR with no issues. Steers great. No weld issues. No leaks other than when its raining, water will pour in when you open the door.

2020 JLU Willys no issues so far other than the rain coming in the cabin when the door is open, wetting my leg and the floor mats like Bryce mentioned above. Purchased in Feb. What did you order?

The rear window leaking on the hard top is not limited to the 2020. I guess they never figured out how to fix that. It’s weird when you think about it, my soft top is drier than my hard top in heavy rain.

We bought a 2020 Sahara early (ordered in Sept 2019 for wife) and have just over 10,000 miles on it. My main concern was steering. Steering is a little sloppy but not the horror stories I read about online. Ours is loaded (upgraded stereo, Selectrac, towing, dual top, aux switches, cold weather, keyless entry, LED lighting, etc) and we've had no issues. No leaks with either top & the technology is great. Same as Northern88, had to put some Silglyde on the back glass for the hardtop squeak but other than this Jeep the most fun vehicle we've ever owned.

I had an ‘18 JLUR that I bought new and put 22,000 miles on before picking up a new 2020.
Although the 2020 definitely feels like it has tighter/firmer steering, it could be the immediate contrast from a vehicle that’s been driven daily with some minor off-road use for 2yrs/22k mis, vs a brand-new vehicle.

My ‘18 never gave me any issues, It was flawless.

Sounds great. I’m looking forward to getting mine.
