Best response. I keep thinking that I want another motorcycle back. I sold my last one about two years ago. I used to get my fix when visiting my oldest son and riding his 2019 ZX-10 but he sold it. That bike would do 100+ mph in first gear. You know where most HD are starting to struggle. Wicked fast.
Harleys arent about speed, its about being HEARD :LOL:

I’ve ridden motorcycles since ’67-hands down my favorite vehicle, however after a cardiac problem over the last few months I sold my Tiger a few weeks ago. Jeep is still here and will be for the foreseeable future, but for sheer”fun”, a bike wins hands down?. Heck compared to a bike or a sports car a Jeep is downright practical?

How can anyone answer anything besides motorcycle. A motorcycle is pretty much the most fun you can possibly have that isn’t against the law and doesn’t involve a vagina.

i literally had to sell mine because it was too much fun.

A jeep on pavement is like watching grass grow compared to a motorcycle.

so far the Jeep is the Most fun. I have ridden Harleys, dual sports and dirt bikes my whole life. Off-roading was one thing that always had my curiosity when it came to jeeps as a kid. When i got my Jeep i was stoked to get it into the dirt. Once i had the doors and top off it gave me the same free feeling that riding my dual sport and or harley did but i felt much safer. i have since sold all my bikes for mods for the Jeep. I do miss ripping the desert on my 450 though

Have you heard a ZX-10 with a shorty pipe at 14,000 rpm? Load as hell they are.

Don’t take it wrong, but a high performance snowmobile is funner than a motorcycle and I love motorcycles. Think about Hayabusa power, but instead of gearbox and shifting and geared to go 200 mph all that power is geared for zero to 120. They are like riding a liter bike but lighter, always in the optimal gear range, huge suspension travel, way more traction and will carve corners so hard you literally have to hang on for dear life. The sled will accelerate so hard that it tries to rip its self out from under you. At the end of the day, your hands ache from the handlebars trying to pry your grip open.

There are trails in Michigan where you can run over a 100 mph for extend times. The curse Are a blast. A studded track will grip so had that if you are hard on the brakes. It will want to pitch you over the bars, slam it into a corner and then WOT out of the corner as it tries to rip itself out from under you and throw you off the back. The new turbo sleds you can easily get 300, and with some work, north of 600 hp on a machine that weighs about 500 pounds. Stock they are around 200 hp. My last sled was held almost 12 gallons of fuel and when running it had got about 9 mpg. Think about that a machine that is under 500 pounds eating fuel like a 36ft class A motorhome weighing 24,000 pounds.

I’ve never ridden a snowmobile so I can’t compare, but 1st gear on my gsxr hit 90mph.

I’ll also absolutely love shifting sequential transmissions

Jeep is wining by a landslide. I wonder if it's because this a Jeep forum? I wonder if the answer would be different if I post this same question on a motorcycle/Muscle car forums?

Most likely people are in different stages of there lives depending on which vehicle they own that provides them with the most fun.
For us, definitely a different life stage. We're enjoying taking the dog and ourselves way up in the hills to escape and see the sights.

We just sold the last sports car. Muscle cars went away about 3 years ago. Motorcycles, well, we still have 2 dirt bikes, a big adventure bike and one nostalgia/sport bike. I will probably be on the bikes commuting a bit in a few days when the weather gets above 45 in the mornings again.

The hot rod cars just weren't as much fun anymore, because they're all not fun until well into extra-legal speeds. That can be said of the hot rod bikes, but I can do an acceleration run on an empty road every now and then and get it out of my system, then go back to commuting.

We're just flat out having a good time with the Jeep. We've personalized it to make it more capable than it was, and the dog can go with us. Take a picnic to the top of a rough/steep mountain road/trail, and be by ourselves with scenery that doesn't involve buildings, people, traffic or noise.

Life stage thing. I wasn't as interested in that 20 years ago.

Just know that sleds Accelerate faster than motorcycles. Then just imagine riding your gxsr everywhere in first gear, WOT on narrow streets. Slamming on the brakes for each corner and WOT to the next turn. That is riding in the woods of Michigan on a sled. Then do it all day.

I had a Suzuki Boulevard M109R and it was a nice cruiser, got a wild hair and traded in on a race-modded ZX-14R (not stretched thank goodness). It was the best on straights if anyone wanted to run me and still good in the twisties because I was young and dumb lol. Today's drivers (old and young) are so inattentive that I just can't bring myself to buy another bike. I loved riding but after seeing a beautiful new Gold Wing smeared across the side of the highway and the rider face down in the ditch with cops waiting for a coroner, I just can't trust anyone. Maybe once I am much older and my kids are older.

Wife has a '19 Charger R/T (only the 5.7, but technically a muscle car still I guess) and I've had several Jeeps over the years, including my '22 JLR 2.0T. I find Jeeps more fun. Don't get me wrong, the Charger is very enjoyable in the right circumstances - launching up a highway on-ramp, passing in traffic is so much less of a to-do, and it's even stupid efficient with the right conditions and MDS (flat-ish highway she sees 30ish MPG just cruising when it drops to 4 cyl).

However, with the Jeep we don't have to worry about clearance on roads or driveways or anything else, and we don't have to worry about the weather as much (let's be real, MTs ain't exactly great for wet/snow traction typically, but still better than perf tires with a V8 usually). I also find off roading to be super accessible, at least where I live, compared to something like a track day, when speaking about being able to equivalently push the performance envelope of the vehicle. Plus, I enjoy maintaining the Jeep more than I do the Charger. The Charger is so low that even with a QuickJack to get it up in the air for doing work, you're still crawling on your belly or in a creeper. With a lifted Jeep, you're already about at that height and can get it up higher with a good set of jack stands no problem.

I do wish Jeep put the 392 in a 2 door, however.

I have trouble believing a stock sled is beating my gsxr 600 to 90mph. I understand it might be possible considering snowmobiles are actually digging into a surface for traction. Not many know this, but the gsxr 600 is pretty much the quickest bike out there 0-90mph if you aren’t a pro rider. It doesn’t have enough power to accidentally lift the front end. So the front end is just completely weightless on the brink of lifting all through first gear, and this is the fastest you can possibly accelerate. Yeah the litre bikes will blow by it after that. If a stock snowmobile will beat that than my jaw would be on the floor.

i literally had tunnel vision the first time I went 0-90mph on the bike.

The bike is weak for the first 10-20mph. So I wish I had a measured 20-90mph time to really show how insanely quick the bike is.

I've had two Mustangs, had a HEMI in my Dodge Ram, I have two Motorcycles (need to sell the little one) and still on my first Jeep...

Jeep Wrangler JL More fun? giphy (43)

Still trying to figure out what was actually more fun...

That being said, I did sell the Mustang and traded the Ram for the Jeep. The Motorcycle is still awesome though!

The contact patch for my sled was 13 inches wide and 137 inch long with carbide studded track. A motorcycle does not even come close for traction. The sled weighs about the same and has way more horsepower. There is no shifting. I can tell you that if you think your 600 is fast from 0 to 90 you need more exposure to fast things. Just about every liter bike will do 100+ in 1st gear. Your 600 will not hang with a liter bike. Take a ZX-10 with traction control, launch control and wheelie control. Twist the throttle to about 13,000 rpm’s and drop the clutch. Then know the difference. Not here to argue, just know from five decades of riding motorcycles.

. You will not have to do much looking on google or YouTube to find out the truth.

Over the years of riding, meaning well over 150,000 miles on liter bikes, every 600 cc rider thinks they have a fast bike until they actually spend some time on a liter bike.

Not to say that a 600 is not a fast bike, but there is a reason why there are different classes.
The insurance companies know the difference between a gsxr 600 and a gsxr 1000 or a Busa, just do a rate check.

Blurred vision at 90 mph while I cruise at 130 riding one handed and snapping photos of the speedo.

We are not the same. But hey the real fun on bike is faster than 130.
