I find it hard to believe that any leaf cells branches could be that heavy and be lugged by the OP, he would've been strong enough to pick his Jeep up out of the NE mud without the winch if he could lug a branch that heavy.

Maybe OP is an absolute unit and just wanted to see what it is like to be the rest of us when putting a huge leaf cell nucleus branch on the winch line.

If this madman's out here swinging around leaf atom protons branches like that I can't believe that anybody's winch line is actually safe.

Snapped mine when I was wheeling. We were about half way done when I saw the people being chased by a bear. They jumped over the side of a cliff and were hanging on for dear life. I threw the winch line over to help them. All of a sudden the bear jumps out and starts to eat the winch line. Just as it was fixing to snap I smacked the bear in the ass grabbed the cable as it snapped and pulled the both of them up at the same time with my bare hands. Didn't even wear gloves.

Winter wheeling in Maine with a YJ on 40s and a TJ on 37s. I only had 35s at the time. Decided to do that one extra trail at the end of the day. The river exit got f’d by a storm last year so there was a bypass exit. Wound up going through a ravine to steep climb. I was third. My heavy school bus couldn’t make the climb. I hooked the winch and got tugging. About 8 feet to the tree and was going to reset it snapped. I think it may have back spooled and bound.

The tj in lead got into a 125 ft swamp that had a tree root across that he couldn’t get over. He wanted to come back. But there was no way to get me going back. We used his rear winch off a snatch to get me up. That he went back to the swamp couldn’t get over the root. Went to pull sideways to get on the bank to get over the root.

The YJ had to fight a bit but it will walk though almost anything.

halfway through the swamp I cut a bypass used a tree I cut as a ramp to cut up the bypass. Towards the end of the swamp couldn’t find traction. Used my yankum kinetic off the YJ.

like I say sometimes it goes sideways….
