I broke my winch cable on my Factory Warn winch. It turns out the replacement is covered under warranty. It really surprised me.

I couldn't find a replacement cable so I called Warn. They told me that they do not support the Warn Mopar Winch and I would need to contact the dealer. They also said it should be under warranty. Fortunately it was.

Just letting people know if they break their winch cable also. You need to go through the dealer.

You see, I was out wheeling and I was pulling a tree and I decided to cut a branch up so I set it on the taught line and started sawing. Then it just magically snapped. Must've been from the weight of the branch.

Clearly this can't be the case - if the winch was winching in the saw wouldn't have had time to cut through in a single spot, the line would be moving away from the saw teeth. Obviously.

Who said anything about saw teeth? It was clearly the weight of the twig branch being laid on the line for cutting.

Fair point that is what you said, I read between the lines. But, how would the leaf stem branch break the line if it's constantly moving underneath it and changing the point where the pressure is being applied? Riddle me that, Batman.

It was the absolute biggest leaf vein branch you'll ever see. It was just that heavy.

I find it hard to believe that any leaf cells branches could be that heavy and be lugged by the OP, he would've been strong enough to pick his Jeep up out of the NE mud without the winch if he could lug a leaf cell branch that heavy.
