What is a fair price for a pair of half doors with premium uppers and the proximity sensors?

$4-5k for a 4 door although some get more.. I would think 2.5-3k for 2 door.

Got a set of black JL half doors- premium tops, NOT prox sensor- for $2500. Repaint- $900, Prox locks wiring on driver's door- $200 (AllMoparParts.com). LOVE them- wish I had ordered from the factory to save money.

It's a crap shoot. I could've paid more in the secondary market, but I waited it out and found someone who was willing to sell for less, because the dealer convinced him to buy something he didn't want. I wish MY salesman had pushed harder- had I known they'd be so hard to get after the fact...

I paid 2550.00 with prem and sensors when I ordered mine last July(22)
and i thought that was high.
now they're 1K more when you order with your jeep.

people that have them and never took them out of the box, know this

I would say plan on spending upward 3-3.5k, prob. more??
and hopefully you wont have to paint to match.

Used or (NIB) prices are going to be contingent of condition and availability.

One things for sure, they're only going to get more expensive as time goes on, so jump in before they out of reach.

Facebook Marketplace, just gotta hope the right color pops up close by as 99% of offers to ship are a scam. A 2dr set of Sting Sat for sale near Baltimore for a month before finally selling for $2200 last week.

I got a NIB pair of Sting Gray half doors with premium uppers and proximity locks for $2500. They were from a guy on CL who had just bought a dual door option with his Willys, but was waiting on half doors and then sold his Jeep before the half doors were delivered. No idea why he did that, but I was glad to find doors that I didn't have to paint. Had to drive from Vegas to LA to pick them up, but it was well worth it. He even included a new storage bag, which was unexpected.

One note about paint color, though. Even though I waited 2 years to find half doors that matched the color of my Wrangler, they still aren't an exact match. I've noticed that this is a fairly common issue, especially with Sting Gray. While it is inflaming my OCD to some extent, I still don't want to pay the extra $$$ for them to be repainted. That said, it would be significantly cheaper to paint these doors than those in a completely different color because the shop would only have to paint the exterior. Much of the cost in painting doors comes from the removal and reinstallation of interior panels (to do it right, anyway), so it is much easier and cheaper if you don't have to do that. Guess I'll just wait until I "accidentally" scratch them when switching them out with my full doors, and then I'll get them painted. Until then, just enjoying the additional air flow and traditional Jeep style that I had in my TJ and CJ.

The color match issue is because the doors are painted at the same time as the original vehicle that they "belong to". If you buy after-the-fact like I did, find a painter that is sophisticated enough to match the color closely. My painter had some kind of digital color-match camera which REALLY came close to the color of my Jeep, but didn't quite have the same "sparkle". Close enough for me, and most people don't notice, but some do...

Must have been my lucky day found a brand new set of 4 same color as my Jeep 1 hour away. The color matches good on my Sting Gray
