The weathertechs typicall protect under the gas pedal. The mopar mats do not. The mopar mats utilize the floor pan drain plugs. It will be interesting to see if aftermarket liners will have option for drain plugs also.

I for one could care less about the mats having drain plugs.. I seriously doubt the aftermarket offerings will have the drains.

Yes, for snow country, WeatherTech gives best protection everywhere.

Like that!. Thanks. Anybody have an opinion on these? I like how they appear to protect the backs of the rear seats.
There is a video on YouTube from the SEMA show highlighting the MOPAR JL accessories, this item was included.
Notice how the cargo mat goes from the floor up the back seat, like a 1 piece. Also moves with the back seat when folded flat.
Seems ideal to me. I will be purchasing.

Here’s some Picts of the installed mats from another thread.

Rear Cargo Mat put on and tested it with a couple of hours at the beach with one of the dogs!

I'm waiting for the husky liners. They should be available in the next few weeks from what they told me. I've had a few sets and really like them.

Followed your instructions, worked perfectly...luckily the dealer did not fully install the mats instead left them raised and just sitting there. Once I cut the drain tube off they fit flush with the floor, no hole through the bottom. Bought 2 JK plugs from Amazon and just capped the mats....

Wait, you cut the funnel off the mat that goes in to the floor drain? May I ask why you did this? That sort of defeats the whole purpose of having floor mats with drains.

Yeah I didn't want the drain feature so just cut them off and capped them, I pull my mats out to clean them, i don't live in snow county so they don't really ever have liquid in them, even then I would use a towel to soak up the water and then pull them to wash them....so no hole through the carpet or body, if I am ever needing a drain hole inside the rig then floor mats are the least of my worries....one guys opinion....I really liked my old JKUR mats and the deeper pattern, these tend to scuff easy and quickly look dirty with minimal use....I would also add that the funnel or nipple that come with the mats have a neoprene like seal that the top, i could just see the seal on those breaking down over time where they meet the body, meaning stream crossings, rain etc could see water pushed up underneath the mat, how long would those seals last, not sure and especially if your pulling them out from time to time, stepping on them...maybe I am the crazy one but made the call

I received the Mopar mats about an hour ago and put them in a few minutes ago. These are awesome. Nice touch on the drain hole! I just wish the sides went up more. I remember having Quadratec ones for my JK and those were like pizza boxes compared to Mopar's and they were a lot thicker too. But still, the Mopar ones are pretty cool. Worth the money.

Now, that cargo mat... I need that in my life.

If you have a 2 door it is better to buy the mopar mats directly. 2 doors only get the front mats. $130 from Jeep and no red letters if that is important to you. $80 at quadratec: https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/all-weather-front-floor-liner-pair-jeep-wrangler-jl-2-door
That’s not true.

I have a 2 door JL and the dealer ordered me a set of aftermarket all-weather Mopar mats that arrived today. The box had 4 mats in it, 2 perfectly fitting fronts and 2 perfectly fitting rears. It’s funny though because the salesman told me that my box would only have the fronts, so don’t feel shortchanged when I didn’t see mats for the rear. I’m guessing that the JL rubber mats include rear mats where previous generations did not.

Do the factory ordered (on the window sticker) all-weather mats not include rear mats?
