Best floor liners for JLU?

I looked at Husky, Weathertech, Quadratec, and Mopar. When did this crap get so expensive? Almost $300 for some plastic material that gets stepped on, when you do first and second rows plus cargo area.

What's the best one? Any other brands I should consider besides what I listed?

I like Mopar, they are wide ridged to keep slush off carpets, and do well in Alaska, and we have 6 months of snow and slush. But the red Jeep also works. Plus better price and I don't like companies stamping their names all over things I buy. The Mopar don't have Stellantis all over them just Jeep.

I went with the WeatherTech HP front and rear for my 2-door JL and the full under-rear seat version of their cargo mat. Was over $300 for everything and got them a couple months after I picked up my Jeep, just so there'd be less pine needles to pick out of my carpet. Still haven't installed the cargo, but everything fits really nice.

Like the look of the Mopar ones a lot better, but went with WeatherTech cause I've used them in the past and from what I read, the Mopar ones were a softer rubber that got scuffed up more easily and looked dirty/worn quicker (really not sure how true that is, though).

I did Smartliner in my Gladiator, would buy them again. About $130 on Amazon.
Wife has the Mopar ones in here Wrangler, they're good, but I don't like the hole. Wouldn't do them again simply because of the hole.

I only got front and rear floor not the whole rear thing, for 130 from Amazon for Mopar. At the time no factory mats were available. Bought them like 3 or 4 months after taking delivery.

They do scuff pretty easy @AFD they are softer I suppose.

The hole is so you can cut out the drain hole bro. The drain hole under the carpet has a plug that goes in the Mopar mats.

If you look close at the carpet the drain hole has perforations to cut it out of the carpet. There is a rubber plug under it.

I know that, but I'm not cutting a hole in the carpet or punching the plug out of the floor. We have too much rain and snow around here. In my experience it just makes a wet soggy mess of the floorboards.

I've cut the "funnel" off the bottom of the floor mats and plugged the hole. I also siliconed in the plug into the hole in the floor pan.

No man the plug is easy to remove and can work with Mopar mats, you are not punching it out, it takes two fingers to pull it out, the Wrangler is designed to actually be washed out with a water hose.. The Mopar mats are made with that rubber plug in mind.

But all good.

I returned the hard slick with a missing attachment button Mopar and got pliable, deep tread, well fitting with a barely noticeable at the side small black and red logo, no big ugly green, yellow, etc logo in the middle Rugged Ridge. But no drain holes if you want them. Edit- but I see you don’t, worth checking out, I’m very satisfied.

I like the Smart liners too. They also seem to clean easier than some of the others.

The new HP version of the WeatherTechs I got (no goofy 3D decal) seems to be a bit different material than the standard version I had in my last car. Maybe a bit softer and less rigid, but I think still a little thinner and harder than the Mopars. My old set looked pretty good and cleaned up nicely for many years. It wasn't until after a decade of daily use that they eventually started looking all scuffed and stained no matter how well I cleaned them.

I really like them, but often wonder if I'm missing out on the drain plug integration and that maybe someday I'll be in a dicey situation like Sandra Bullock in that bus movie (Speed?) and need to take a healthy piss into the footwell since I'm unable to stop and pull over for some reason. It's always good to have options, right? ?

I went with Quadratec Ultimate All Weather...the ones with the deep tread-looking channels. They work with water and mud. But they are difficult to clean. You have to use a scrub brush because the channels are so deep. But I would definitely buy them again.

I had weathertechs about 10 years ago. They might be better now. But they were too stiff and always slid around in the floor. It was like the little cleats on the bottom were too small or something?

Huskey has the right material. I've never had a set of Huskey mats, but they feel like they would be the great, and the tread looks easy to hose down.

Mopar - they're probably good. I don't hate dealerships...they're not charities. But the Quadratecs were less expensive. And the picture in the Quadratecs magazine made them look great...like they might increase HP and MPG's too. So I got them. No "regrats"...not one letter.

I might have had the same thought

Here was my decision process:

-No on the Mopars, read several reviews about being too soft. I don't care for the drain plug integration, this Jeep will never see water that high if I can help it, and I'd prefer to leave the plugs IN the floor.

-No on Weathertech, as I've had a set of their Floor Liners in the past, and they were relatively good, but the material was too hard, scuffed and discolored a lot. The HP may be better, but the cost stood out to me.

-Husky: I don't remember why I didn't choose them. I don't remember if they had a cargo mat, or if they did, it was expensive given the competition.

-I looked on Amazon and was annoyed with all the names I've never heard of, although they were significantly cheaper. I'm enthused by the companies which definitively state their products are MADE IN USA, and I didn't see many/any on all those unknown brands, so scrap that idea.

-QUADRATEC: I bought their Ultimate All Weather Combo, as I've had their mats before and I was glad they've changed to a black/white logo on their mats instead of the Green/Gold. That would stand out against a red dashboard. The winner here was being Made in USA, and including the Cargo area for <$300 (ok, like $289 plus tax). While not a true "liner" like WT, experience has shown that the deep tread does indeed catch about 99% of dirt/snow/crud. I'm not a fan of liner material around the accelerator as it's tended to rub my foot in other vehicles, and QT has a good cutout area here. 11 years in my last Jeep, and the factory carpet area around the accelerator was still clean, not worn.
