These look great but they don't have the drain plug opening like the Mopar mats.

Cool, but I feel like if you get to that point you're asking for it. Inevitably the "look at me in deep water" posts lead to "why are my dash lights on/Electrical Issues now and was fine before" posts.

The drains facilitate draining melted snow and ice or washing/rinsing the floor mats without removing them.

I bought (aftermarket) the Mopar Jeep JL front and rear (2-door) floor mats, then bought the Weathertech cargo-liner so it'd cover the entire floor either with/without the seat installed. I love the setup.....keeping in mind I don't have a rear seat installed, only a dog/no kids, so I use the back as cargo only. The front mats are pretty awesome. They look great and don't slide around at all like my old Weathertech mats did in my 2011 4 Runner. I agree with 545Moose in the post above...if you are counting on the drain plugs for draining your vehicle after high water, you're probably screwed anyways. But it's great to have the MOPAR JL floor mat plug knock-out....you can carefully rinse spilled coffee out of the vehicle's floor mat without getting any on the carpet before you pop the fastener buttons and remove it...something I may or may not have done multiple times so far.

Attaching a photo of what the Weathertech looks like in a 2-door, I love it aside from it sliding around (which is why i bought the net up front and used the cargo tie-downs to keep the mat in place). Cheers.

It would…if the drains lined up with the floor drains. Mine are not a snug fit…

You have to cut out the little carpet floor piece so the mat can drop into the hole. That worked for me.

I leave the plug in the floor of the jeep, and bought another set of plugs off Amazon for the Mats. Tub of the jeep is sealed properly, and if I ever want to drain the mats, I tilt the back up slightly, pull the floor plug, put the funnel of the mat in the hole, then pull the plug on the mat.

Did cut the carpet, but still not a good fit. Didn’t want moisture coming from below getting under my carpet

Yup, did that same thing. I was disappointed they don’t line up better

Honestly, check out the Quadratec brand. Not only are they thicker, they travel up the sides better. As a bonus, they are less expensive. I've had Weathertec, slippery and moved all over, had Husky, looks like a worn out rubber mat after a bit. Both were more. I especially like the cargo liner. Fits perfectly. The "tred" pattern is a bit wonky, but they have been fantastic.

+1 on the Quadratec liners. If your area has heavy snow falls the higher sides help keep the snow, slush and dirt in the liner and off the carpets. I had them in my 2005
TJ and now the 2018 JL.

Getting ready to switch to these from Weathertech. Not sure why but the Weathertech sides always curl and it looks sloppy.
