I'll keep it simple you need to fix your quality and service network. For the prices you are asking now " It's a Jeep thing" needs to end.
I have driven Jeep wranglers as daily drivers since 1990, but my 2018 will be the last.
Door hinge corrosion started a few months before my warranty ran...
I went cheap when I ordered my 1997 TJ and took the vinyl seats. Now they want $1000 extra for crap vinyl seats. Between summers and winters the seats all cracked over the years. Ended up with Neoprene covers in that Jeep. Always cloth since then.
Seeing as my 2018 2dr Sport S will be paid off next year (2023) I priced a new one with the same options.
2018 - 37,000 2023 44,170. That's just insane for a 2 dr.
I have had Jeeps for daily drivers since 1990, but this could be my last Jeep.
When I was young and had cars I never wore a seatbelt.
I bought my first Jeep a 88' YJ and It didn't take long before I always used a seatbelt.
I'm not sure what was worse my YJ or Dad's postal jeep on a tight curve.
I hope the people in that jeep all get well soon.
I have been daily driving Jeeps for decades, but highway trips over two hours and I'll take my 2012 Challenger if it's spring, summer or fall. Once the salt hits the roads the Dodge is put away till spring.
I have the 2018 JL 2 door and the fuel tank is too small for long trips. The only...
My Dad had an old postal Jeep for a while; it gave my brother and I the bug for Jeeps ever since. In 1990 I picked up my first Jeep a used 88' YJ. I traded the TJ in for a 95' Dodge Avenger, but I missed having Jeeps too much and traded the Dodge in for a 97' TJ two years later. Since 1997 I...
+1 on the Quadratec liners. If your area has heavy snow falls the higher sides help keep the snow, slush and dirt in the liner and off the carpets. I had them in my 2005
TJ and now the 2018 JL.
In 1995 I traded in my 88' YJ for a new Dodge Avenger. That only lasted two years and one bent rim from a pot hole before I traded the Dodge for the then new 97' TJ. I have only had 2 door jeeps as my daily driver since then.
Same as Shots I purchased a 4'x 8' trailer to carry things. That was...
I don't see how speaking with the dealer will help. When ever I go into the dealer for the oil change on the free program they look up what I have left on the corporate system and base it on that. If FCA lets it expire after the 2 years, the dealers not going to cover it.. For the dealer it's...
My first Jeep was a 88' YJ in 1990, The wave was similar to the wave on motorcycles. There weren't as many Jeeps on the road then and it was like being in a small club of people that totally understood the "Jeep Thing". I still wave today hoping more people will catch on.
There is still no love from the market place for the 2 door. All my Jeeps since the 90's have had Bestop soft tops, but I don't care for the Trektop. A soft top should fold down completely and I need something that comes off easy enough to put the hard top back on every winter.
Starting 1990 with my 88 YJ I have had 2 door Jeeps as my daily driver. In 95 I traded the YJ for a car because of the ride and noise. Two years later I had to have a Jeep again and traded the car for my 97 TJ sport. I haven't looked back since and it's all Jeep since then.
There is nothing...
I remember when carpet and the rear seat were extra on the base model YJ. Thank god for better heat; my YJ was always cold even with cardboard in front of the radiator. I'm enjoying the heated seats and steering wheel in my 2 dr. JL Sport.
The cold weather group was a must have for my current JL. All my previous Jeeps 88YJ, 97TJ, 05TJ were bare bones no extras and manual. The cold is more difficult to handle as I get older, so I ordered an automatic to get the remote start, heated seats and steering wheel. It was really nice to...
