I'm about to pull the trigger on Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires in a 35x12.50r17 size that is a load D rating. I'm pretty dead seat on the mickey thomspon after hearing alot of good things for them, and love the look so not really looking to be convinced on other tire makers at this point.
They also make a 315/70r17 load E rating tire for the same size. Which one should I be getting for on-road daily driving? I don't offroad a whole lot anymore, maybe some overlanding every now and then. I mainly use the Jeep for longer daily driving, high speeds on freeways. Looking to maximize on road comfort and reduce stiffness which is why I was thinking the D rating.
But I wasn't sure if there are other tire factors to consider before pulling the trigger.
For reference, 4 door JL with 2" Mopar lift, and currently riding on a load E Nitto Terra Grappler tire. Rides very rough, stiff but theyre also on 18" wheels rather than 17" than I plan to downsize to.
Thanks
