I wouldn't announce t

Hey are you grilling in California or are you going to sneak into Nevada to grill? Isn't that against the law now and classified as a heinous crime against the Clean Air Gods?
Yeah gas grill with a campfire permit….don’t tell anyone

As in Shermans Pass that runs over the mountains from California and dumps out over by Death Valley? If so that is cool. I have motorcycled and taken a convertible Mustang over that. I have thought for a while that it would be a fun place to take the Jeep to.

Tell her Hbay, and tell her that her birthday present is your present and the first tank of fuel in the Jeep. LOL. make her eyes roll.
No, a point to point trail above Kernville. A good driver with a stock Jeep and no lockers could do it with no assistance. It’s much more fun to do in the snow. A constant climb from 2000 to 10000 feet with a lot of switchbacks and just enough sporadic boulders and soft rutted areas that a street vehicle or regular motorcycle would not get too far. Opens open at the top in the Sequoia National Forest. Dirt bike for sure. You would be bored except for the scenery. Theres a cabin that most people miss that a local club is going to renovate.

My only must do is John Bull. Dishpan is a bonus run the following day. But there are easier trails that might be better since my wife is going and I don’t need the silent disapproval on the way home.
When is a drive in a Jeep ever silent? I don’t believe I’ve ever experienced that.

My youngest son broke up with a girlfriend about 8 years ago and he is telling me the story. He said, at the end, never break up with a girl when you are driving and four hours from her house. He said he had to listen to her cry and pout for hours.........
Unfortunately, I’ve been the root cause of a similar stupid (on my part) event in my youth.

Cool! I need to check this trail out. Last time I was in Kernville area, it was about 30 years ago mountain biking ripping my knees up in manzanita bushes.

Ive witnessed MT BBAT pop sidewalls a couple times with people i was wheeling with. Meanwhile my cheapo Milestars kept on trucking… no sidewall (or other) issues in 5 years. Some chunking on the edges but thats after a long time. All while at half the price. When i bought my most recent set i was on the fence between MT BB and the Pat 02s. I bought two sets of Pats for less than the MTs (im poor, ish).

Only a few local trails for us until I do John Bull in July. It will be the hardest trail I’ve done so far. I’m sure I’ll have to leave both lockers on…the entire time. Hopefully nobody is on the trail that day without both their lockers on…the entire time. 😂
what event are you going to?

Details and registration at CORVA.ORG
This is an event another SoCal Club put many years of blood sweat and tears into but recently turned it over to a local offroad shop and different Jeep group. It’s a CORVA fundraiser,

LOL I know SadRobot kept telling me the same thing and now I’ll have to get a Prius and do Trona Pinnacles or something with her. Someone in a local club posted a Rubicon run on Fbook and said no Patagonias allowed. I was like WTF? The club admin pulled it down. I’ve destroyed BFG KO2s and a Mickey Thomson MT. Let me drive your rig and I bet I can destroy a Patagonia.
