Anyone doing anything local over the weekend? Hoping to be free late Sunday, maybe Monday. But not making plans for myself into everything falls apart.

(I have a sorta big event starting Saturday spilling into Sunday)

Are there any trails near the Norco area? I just moved to Corona.

welcome neighbor. i live in eastvale, on the other side of norco.

cleghorn is the closest. its in the cajon pass just up the 15. about a 30 minute drive for me.
big bear has plenty of fun trails and they are an hour or less away, typically. BB has 3 badge of honor trails if you havent done them yet.

As far as Cleghorn, is it best to run east to west or west to east?

If you’re just looking to get into the dirt, Cloudland truck trail has some good scenery. It’s 3/4 of a mile from my house in San Bernardino. Good views at the top. Lytle Creek also has some neat little trails you can get lost on for a day. Bring some lunch with you and have a picnic out there.

I was a trail or two over to the west recently (Bailey Cyn). I can see why they would call it ‘Cloudland’ (pics: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/june-wheelin.130108/post-2715501)

im up for this weekend. if anyone wants to do something. be it cleghorn, johnson valley, big bear, whatever.

Bailey Canyon is one of my favorite trails for the views, and makes for a relaxing way to get up into the Crestline area.

Nice production values! Liked 👍 and Subscribed 🔔

I’m not a fan of shelf roads but Bailey was wide enough in most places to chill and enjoy the views. ⛰

I also found plenty of opportunities to ‘leave it better than I found it.’

Thank you! I’d say the one real drawback to easy, accessible trails is you have more knuckleheads on them trashing it.

For me, it’s off camber stuff that scares me 😂
