I just installed the SS version of this system on my JL. It has a nice sound at idle, but under full throttle, it sounds like crap, from the inside and outside. Fortunately, under normal cruising speeds the sound isn't too objectionable, but it is noticeable. Sorry no sound clips.
I really hate the way it sounds when on the gas. At this point, I won't throw my old exhaust away, because I may revert back to the front section, if whatever I get only replaces the rear section. This was really disappointing. I went with MBRP because I like how it sounds on my Cummins powered Ram truck.

The sound after some miles at WOT gets much more "solid" if that makes sense. Initially all these 2.0L with exhausts sound high pitched I've noticed.

After how many miles should I expect it to sound better?

Any update on how you're liking the exhaust after a couple miles, @JesseRohr ? Stuck between this and the Magnaflow I think. MBRP definitely fits my price range a little better but drone is something I'm trying to avoid as much as possible.
MBRP ! Had one on my hemi, love it and will be putting one on my Jeep as soon as it gets here from the factory.

Bringing this thread back up as I just installed the MBRP and it is unbearable on the freeway at our normal 75MPH posted speed limit here in Denver. Just seeing what everyone else swapped to.

I hear good things about borla climber touring. Touring if you want quiet, or the sport model for a little noise.

Thanks, I had a Magnaflow 11226 sitting in my garage that I decided to give a shot. It is night and day different from the MBRP. Zero drone, but not nearly as aggressive sounding as the MBRP. I must be getting old because I am sticking with the quieter one.

I think the reality is that most inline 4 cylinder engines just don't sound good, regardless of what exhaust you are running. Considering that an axle back or cat back isn't going to improve the performance anyway (Until you get into customer tuning, bigger turbos, fueling etc.) put the money towards something else that will actually improve the driving experience or offroad capability
