Rochambeau?I miss Patriot. Such a great show that ended way too soon!
Did you get your Jeep back from dealer yet?Rochambeau?
Negative. Tech still on vacation so it's been sitting at the dealer since December 18th.Did you get your Jeep back from dealer yet?
Do we need to organize a canned food drive yet? Hope you like beer, because that's all I have in cans. An old friend once told me "there's a pork chop in every can".Negative. Tech still on vacation so it's been sitting at the dealer since December 18th.
So far everything is running okay. One thing I noticed is that the shop filled the brake reservoir almost to the very top. I called them to ask why and they said was so that brake fluid would flow over the dam into the rear break reservoir which is where the master cylinder takes its feed from. I wonder if this may be part of the issue, as most shops only fill it too the max line. What was their reasoning for not installing the slave that came with the kit as well?
Ha well I was hoping to get a call tomorrow that the Jeep is ready and the bleed worked but apparently there are life-threatening and destructive winds headed our way which could throw a bit of a wrench into the situation. So even if it is ready I'm not sure how great of an idea it would be to drive a giant lego down the 210 in 80mph winds.Do we need to organize a canned food drive yet? Yeah it's a weird design. Not a fan of the shared reservoir situation. So far everything is running okay. One thing I noticed is that the shop filled the brake reservoir almost to the very top. Ideally they would've bled some of it out to get to the max line.So far everything is running okay. One thing I noticed is that the shop filled the brake reservoir almost to the very top. If memory serves me right Jeep reimbursed you for your ACT clutch? Are they willing to cover doing the recall? If so, doesn’t seem like a bad solution. I’m happy with the clutch in my ‘24. Why are you opposed to having them do the recall? Is it the software?Ok new update. I finally got the tech on the phone. He said he replaced the slave and bled it but can't get a pedal back at all.
He said if he puts pressure onto the system with an air compressor the pedal comes back but as soon as the pressure is gone it disappears and pedal goes to the floor.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? That has never happened in all the times I bled it. I always got a full pedal back but just had 1st/reverse issues.
He called Jeep Star or whatever they call when they get stuck and they told him just to do the recall and bring everything back to stock. I told him absolutely not and if he can't get a pedal back by end of today I'm towing it back to my house.
So mess continues....

bringing it back to stock might not be such a bad idea after all this time,Ok new update. I finally got the tech on the phone. He said he replaced the slave and bled it but can't get a pedal back at all.

I'd rather just get it home and trouble shoot myself. I'm pretty confident I can get it bled since I've done it 10 times already. At that point ACT can take a look at the clutch parts and go from there.bringing it back to stock might not be such a bad idea after all this time,
there's been reports of people solving the issues of limp mode due to different tire sizes
just spit balling here but at least if they do the recall, I would just confirm with them that they WOULD get the jeep back up and running and not pull a "sorry issue still persists after the recall but it's your problem because that's how you brought it in"
I personally would consider this but only if they tell me they would take "ownership" of the issue if I let them do the recall, worst case scenario, I would buy some take off wheels (<1k) and drive the jeep home and deal with the clutch and programming of bigger tires at home
idk, what do you think?
ahh that's right, I forgot ACT is going to take a look at itI'd rather just get it home and trouble shoot myself. I'm pretty confident I can get it bled since I've done it 10 times already. At that point ACT can take a look at the clutch parts and go from there.
